The new B-17 model makes me think that an update is not far off, so I thought I'd bring up a couple older requests that might be worth tagging along with the already planned improvements...
1) Would be really nice to have the "join" dialogue box moved to the edge, like the "load supplies" box. Or, to have the text/dialogue box be a check off box in preferences. It's so easy to forget when logging in!
2) After filming a flight, would be nice to have a dialogue box that asks if we want to save and what to name the video file. Those times when I try to parse out the wheat from the chaff in the film list are tedious!
These seem reasonable and (I'd think) easy to code, but would address meaningful issues. OF course, prioritizing and finite man-hours mean waits for many worthwhile features, so if it cant be done I understand -- but it doesnt hurt to ask!

I like both of those suggestions. The film one might be a little more complex, but the join box should be pretty darn simple!

for No 1): TZhe .showjoin command is a *saved* arena-specific setting. Ie once you disabled the popup window (for a specific arena) it will keep your requests in radio buffer untill you change it back again.

I like both suggests but #2 sounds the best. that would make tracking them down later for editing a lot easier. :aok

YES! I would film more if I could delete after flight and rename if I wanted to keep. As it is I end up with a bunch of anonymous flim files of nothing interesting.

Yep, I like the film idea. Now where have I seen that before? :)

I agree :aok I know the way it is with the join/accept is really troublesome. If your in buffs and someone is going to gun for you when you're swamped with fighters, typing out the accept can get you killed.
