thought it might be possible to have a briefing for missions we put up.
this way it would save all the crap like people not knowing what they are to do and constantly asking whilst the mission is on,
i help as much as i can in missions but sometimes the amount of typing is overwhelming and can get you killed :)
what id like is something like this to be displayed:
'Ju88s follow red route to 10k then level form up with 109s at waypoint 1 and proceed to target bomb hangers.
fw190 escort launch with ju88s keep 15k close escort ahead of bombers.
109 escort launch early climb to 10k, make contact with ju88s then sweep ahead of formation keeping it in sight at all times.follow your flight plan.'
i know its nothing important but it would be nice to let evryone know what they are to do in the mission.Theres nothing worse than carefully planning a route /timing attacks etc only to have someone asking whats the target or where do i go/what do i do etc.
with a small breifing it would really help i think.Im not saying im not prepared to answer those questions but the less the better when the mission is on i think. Also some good narrative can encourage people into missions.
I have had several ideas for good attacks but it is so hard to explain peoples tasks on the fly that they never really work like they could.with a briefing we could make intricate traps etc like baiting and dragging to large friendly forces, all aware of what is needed because of the brief :)
hope you like the idea
what do you think?

I totally agree.

yess organize the chaos :)

Yes a briefing room with a map display of the target, and whos to do what. Maybe General Dreedle's WAC could be sitting in the corner. :D

laz no i mean if in MA you wish to let everyone know whats going on quickly....instaed of typing out again and again to different pilots what your target is or what the loadout is or what direction or even the cooncept of the mission or priority targets over less important ones etc you can do it with a brief paragraph or two in the briefing and you can just type 'read briefing plz' :)
laz i detect a devils advocate reply in your post...remember if you just want your missions to stay the simple way you can forget putting the briefing in.I cant see any reason why this couldnt work for every arena.

I vote for an Air Warrior 3 type of "briefing room" where people meet and see the map, the creator can even animate and point out targets to individual members.
That is the only feature I really, really miss from AW3.

Sounds good.
Have the briefing text pop up automatically whenever you join a mission.
Let prospective pilots have a "Briefing" button that becomes active when they select a mission in the Viewer. Then they can hit "Briefing" and take a peek.
