I've been told that i can config AH to run in widescreen mode. But it doesnt work. Just crashes at startup. I have a Dell 24" widescreen LCD monitor.. have had it for a while now... and havent had luck in getting AH to run at a wide resolution. Its natural res is 1920X1200 I tryed a whole assortment of resolutions at this aspect under 1600 max res. 1600x1000, 1500x938. I got 1600x900 to work,,, but its the wrong aspect ,,, and causes the image to be stretched verticaly.
any help please.
Also my system is:
AMD Athelon 64 Prossesor
3500+
2.21 GHz, 2 GB RAM
with
Dual GeForrce 6800 SLI
PCI Express x8
256Mb memory each.
Dell24"LCD (http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/ProductDetail.aspx?sku=24053YR&c=us&l=en&cs=19&ManufactSelection=Precision%20WorkStation&ModelSelection=86866&ModelName=Dell%20Precision%20WorkStation%20400&category_name=View+All+Results&page=DellPartsProductListing.aspx)

Have u tried 1440x900?
-
1024x768 is all I can get AH to run with, all others, I've tried, except lower, crashed on start up.
My default is 1280x800 on a 16:10 aspect ratio notebook screen 15.4" WXGA, 6600go 128M

My native res of 1920x1080 works fine with AH but I went back to 1280x1024 because the view is chopped vertically in widescreen res. IE, bottom row of instruments cut off in Pony and less sky visible above the windscreen.

I bought a 20" regular monitor for this reason. Wide just isn't supported properly yet.

Americas Army and I think HL2 support 16:10.. from what I've read its a non standard that started as a notebook thing.
