Hi there Pyro,
Thanks for a great patch. Im not sure if it has been mentioned yet but I think Im not alone when I say this... "Im dieing to know what the next plane will be"...
Will it be a totally new plane? You guys said you might focus on adding some planes soon or will it be another upgrade?
Thanks in advance
Tex

I think they said they were going to be working on some ww2 twin-engined plane...or maybe it was a single engine?..... Really can't remeber off-hand right now....
-
iu would really LOVE to see some mossies ;) and lancs are also quite important methinks. and, well, if there's time, bostons and a20's, and add the a26. now that would be cool :D

I hope your not implying we are getting the p-61

Well we 38 dweebs could always use more models. Maybe the 37mm 38 varient, or the 6x50 38 variant, or even the 38 with 8x50s in the nose and 2 wingpods on the wings with 2x50s each. :t

Made several changes to the flight model affecting static thrust, propeller slipstream effects, ground effect, flaps and slats. This affects all planes to one degree or another.
I think i can speak for a large portion of the ah community when i say fundamental flight modeling fidelity is more important than superficial things like new planes/graphics/game play elements.

They just turned out a remodeled B-17 , a jeep ,and other improvements ,all the while working on TOD . Maybe we could give em a few days before we start lobbying for new rides .lol
-
The new B-17G looks really, really nice, so whatever they do I trust it is going to be gorgeous.
-
Yea the B-17 and the Jeep are great adding i been hoping for anew GV for the longesttime id like to see a Sherman Tank or somthing cool but none the less gj guys i love the improvments.

Was a 38L model. It had 8x50s and could carry 2 wingpods with 2x50s each. Believe this was a experiment but believe it saw action. Also reading through resources im seeing there were 38s there were produced with a tail hook to take off and land from cvs. Also reading through some resources the the 38L could carrry 2x2000lb bombs with the 10 HVARs.
Not great source but also shows other variants. Source 1 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/P38#Unusual_Lightning_variants)

Armement-test model P-38 with 8 .50s and gunpods didnt see service, nor did the testbed with 6 .50s in the nose (though I've read an account where an 8th AAF pilot claims he shot down Adolph Galland (in a 109D9) with one in a crater or abandoned mineshaft[!] full of wrecked P-38s in the summer of 1944), the one with an extra 20mm, the one with 3 .60mm MGs, the one with a pair of .50s and a pair of .30s, the one with the tailhook (which was never actually tested, just propsed and possibly mocked up), the one on floats (likewise proposed but never built), the one that could drop torpedoes, or the one with a 75mm gun.
The 38s we have are just fine. ;) :p

Actually the 6 gun 38 did see some combat. The 80th FS Headhunters had at least one that was flown in action. Pilots liked the concentrated firepower. Here's a photo of it :)

Not an operational bird though, purely a test bed.

Still pretty to look at. :D

Never seen the 80th FS 6-gun lightning (or heard of it!), but it looks like it still has the 20mm cannon as well? The one supposedly flown by the 8th pilot had the 6 MGs with no cannon.
That one must have a seriously reduced ammo load with 7 guns in the nose.
-
A nice ride, but it would be cannon fodder in this world. You could use them for supply, and many BLACK CATS were well armed.
-
PBY Cat as all float planes should takeoff from port and be loaded with Naval Supplies which would repair Naval Ships.
Tex
-
However the Cat could also operate from land bases, too, so you'd really have to allow then to be launched from airfields, too.
No, update the corsairs!
And yes! Seconded! Update the Corsairs!

Just because everytime I get shot down I can scream "lagg!" just like every FPS weenie :)

MiG-15/F-86 does sound good.
Always loved going to the Korean arena a few times a week to get my jet on.
I'm sure if HTC opened up a Korean arena here it'd have at least a few people on all the time.
