lol, with waffle's soundpack it makes the sound of a machinegun when I stall. For awhile I thought my keyboard was fubar and firing guns automatically because whenever I stalled my cockpit would shake with gun sounds:lol

There already is a way to disable it though. go to game sounds->stall buffeter way at the bottom. Turn it to 0. Problem solved.

There's no volume slider for that in the sounds preferences?

(Edit ... never mind ... y'all beat me to it ...)

I was going a little bit crazy when I heard it for the first couple flights.  Started inspecting my keyboard and joystick wondering.  First flight I almost crashed into the ground thinking it was someone behind me.

Going take me awhile get used to the vibration as now its a little bit harder to do some thing in the 38.

Point is, if your in the vibration, your turn performence is droping. Sound and shake happen post stall.

I am trying to figure out trackIR and everytime I go into a hard turn I'm thinking that my guns are randomly firing from this gun fire sound and plane shaking... Thinking its something with trackIR screwing with my system i disconect it and try again. Same thing. lol. I shoulda read the read me.

Or get Mitsus sounds, cut and paste over the stall sound files. Too easy.

Mitsu's sounds won't overwrite the buffeting sound as it is brand new. It's not the old 'stall horn'. I just turned down the buffeting sound all the way to 0. default is 80 and much to loud.

I mean the wav file not the resource file describing when to play it.

Maybe Im not being clear, I know about the packed file, Im asking what the CUSTOM WAV FILE would be called that would override the default resource files sound for this new annoying tick tick tick buffet sound.

LMAO I was thinking the exact same thing. First I thought my guns were fireing by themselves. then I thought maybe some invisable plane ws shooting at me.
When It finally dawned on me what it was, I just turned that sound down.
Too annoying to be useful and I fly mostly be feel anyway

The vibration is a very good addition, my complaint was that i didnt think you could get rid of the noise....and that was my mistake too :)
