Looks like on the AGW they are bashing HT and the AH pilots because the train doesn't look good and that they can do a hell of alot better.
Run with it..<G>
-
hehe take a look at wb3's PZIV, or mebbe check out the arty system.. oops...
someone suggested arty in here long ago..

Well......hehe, it did look sorta alpha ;)
As far as doing better? By all means, do better!

Aw, comon, that was the Scale train modelers. What do you expect? I think it looks cool as hell(and I am a modeler).
-
I gotta figure that programming in a path for the AI train to follow, then aligning it to within a few feet of of textured track tiles would be a pretty excruciating process. Maybe not though. I doubt I'll even notice this when I'm flyin'. Simple fact of the matter is we've got it and they don't.
-
Didn't they spend a great deal of time over at AGW bashing any flight sim that would include ground vehicles?

Tell those AGW dweebs we don't give a flying f**k how far the train is off the tracks -> coz when my tiffie hits it the tracks won't matter no more.
-
LOL! just read the thread.
- They take credit for the idea of adding trains to a WW2 sim
- Iceman tells everyone that "they should see what they have done up... only we aren't going to show you yet... or release it yet... because we don't want to right now... not because its not really done... and definately not because we have no idea how to impliment it
- They make fun of the graphics
- they make fun of the fact that it doesn't line up perfectly with the tracks
- They get to cling dearly to the prospect of trains... afterall... its all they have right now. :D
Cracks me up.

AGW guys are tards for saying they thought of it first. AH BBS guys are bigger tards for starting a thread here about this "snub". :D
-
Well ya know... that's the reason HT is adding it to AH. It's because they asked for it first on WB.
right... <insert sarcastic tone here>
It had nothing to do with the strat tantrums here. The whole thing is a silly as Ford drivers pointing fingers at Chevy drivers and vice versa.
Oh... and nice jab on AGW, DJV... That oughta stir 'em up.

Hey, I remember driving trains in Mac AW in 1995, so AW was first, technically <g>
Had to have a CM enable them, they were useless, ugly, and did not drive on tracks. Just a string of a few grey boxes put together. But they were trains, man! :)

It's hilarious that all they can complain about is how it doesn't line up with the tracks. Didn't anyone bother to read HT's post? It says that it is an EARLY look at what's to come. Tards!
-
Spitboy, Falcon had trains in the late 80's. :)
-
<puts on dunces cap>
um. I think I'm missing something here. They have screen shots of the train? where?
-
Bet WBIII will allow "skins" for their trains :D http://www.aluminumcloud.com/index2.htm (http://www.aluminumcloud.com/index2.htm)
-
What is AGW?
-
The train in the video looked unskinned to me, or at least the skin it had was just a place-holder.
Still, it looked cool to me.
-
EAW had straffable trains, and ground vehicle convoys. It was cool watching the AI troops scatter when made a run on them. You had to be careful though when you went after a tank convoy, they could light up up. :D

It's a UBB like this one, where predominately Warbird simmers hangout, and as many of us are X-wb'ers we keep an eye on.
here's the link to the thread the fellas are talking about.

I liked the thread called "We dropping like Flies...WHY?" (http://agw.dogfighter.com/agw//Forum3/HTML/022672.html)
One guy sez "if the game companies were smart they'd all join up" (or words to that effect) i.e. AH, WB, WW2OL
Guess he doesn't know that at one time they were all one outfit[/i]... ICI :D
