I was in a panzer, shooting at a tiger. The tiger was driving erratic to loose me. From 900 to 1000 meters away I hit him once direct on(no angle) in the rear and at least 4 or 5 times in the track. those shots should have taken out the engine or the track. All this happened after a 1000LBS bomb landed right beside him. after the explosion he was sitting in the crater.
Did this update make them tougher???

Nope, it's always been that way. The tracks are practically indestructable unless by MG. Has been that way a long time.

Shoot at Tiger tracks with HE, unless its been fixed it disables them !

I think the tigers are over modeled period, you can shoot the things from point blank & they will still be able to plod along.
Give me an M36 Jackson anyday.

no hes right something is messed up with all tanks. today i rolled a tiger and hit another tiger point blank like 200 feet from each other took 12 hits from my tiger to kill him all turret hits. then i was in a panzer and i had like 15 bombs dropped on me and i did not die dont know why. i have also bombed gvs tigers, panzers, and t34s and they dont die with direct drops on their turrets something aint right

I think the Tiger dies too easy when I'm in it.

Whether it is intentional or not, "Fog of War" or "Luck" seems to be modeled into the GVs. I have been in a tiger and died from a single ping from a panzer at 1.5k away when my own rounds seemed to do nothing to the panzer. I've been in a panzer and it seems like I lose my main gun to an M3. And at other times in a panzer, I felt impervious to anything they could throw at me. "Luck" is modeled in some how – both GVs and aircraft.

To track a Tiger use HE. You don't need to hit the track but you do need to be close.
Have not used Gv's since new patch but I have no problem bombing the blighters. They still go pop under me 500 Lbers.
The m3 seems a little tuffer under rocket fire but my aim coulda been off.
New Jeep pops with 1 rocket close in.

Lynx how many HE shots to track?

Not necessarily
I know I've mentioned this before a while back in another thread.
If you pick up a copy of Bill Mauldins book "Up Front" he gives a first hand account of 3 tank destroyers firing at point blank range repeatedly at a Tiger with no effect.
The tiger in return simply wheeled its turret around and with 1 shot each, destroyed all 3 Tank destroyers.
That being said as far as thr game is concerned.
I find it hard to beleive that AP rounds, even from an M8 would not damage the treads on even a tiger
Yet I have managed to detrack a tiger with machine gun rounds from an M3
An even larger comlaint that I have has to do with all GVs. When in the middle of a bomb crater, they for all intents and purposes are next to impossible to spot from the air even in the clearest of terrains

No but even with the Icons on they are hard to spot.
and if you aim at the icon, you usually miss
