Nope, waffles sounds still going up for me in AH.

Check your AH folder see if the mistus sounds are labled sounds and not the default ones.

Dedalos, check the skins & sounds forum.  Skychimp hosted Waffle's soundpack, and I loaded it up from there.  Look through the files you get carefully...he includes a nice little set of optional sounds to choose from, like a selection of check-six's, a selection of base attack warnings, etc...

No problems with the update here.  Had the Wafflepack loaded up prior, and required no adjustments after the update.

Actually, a couple of sounds that were not coming through before (special deep, boomy explosions for heavy bombers) are now coming in great.

Good Luck

That was the first thing I did.  The ZIP file came in corrupted.

There seem to be a bunch of sound packs.  Which is the one to get?  Also, what's the difference among them?

Sound packs are a personal preferance thing. Alot of guys here have download several different sound packs and gone in and selected the sounds of each pack they like best and made their game sounds custom to what they like from all the sounds packs out there.

best thing is get Waffles, Mitsu's, Fruda's and any other pack that is out there. Give them each a try and determine for yourself which one you like.

I sifted through all of them and picked what sounded, IMO of course, best on my system.  I suggest giving all of them a try.

Some are "historically correct", some just sound cool. Some, like eskimos you can only stand for about one sortie, then you need to change them back because youre running out of breath laughing so hard.
