...The Movie! Starring Susan Sarandon in the title role!
Possibly an early leader in the race for next year's Oscar for Best Movie of the Year?
I can scarcely contain my excitement!

:rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl
Hollywood is bankrupt of decent movies idea's these days. This isn't a shocker. However, with 6 months it will be on Lifetime for my wife surf around.
This should be about as creative as Blair Witch Project. "Watch some chick sit in a lawn chair, hold a sign, overstay her welcome and piss off the neighbors." $50 says they leave the last part out.

I can't remember the last movie I went to. For that matter I'm usually not very interested in the new releases at the DVD rental store. I definately will not be seeing a movie about Cindy Sheehan.

Who's idiotic enough to fund a stinker like this?
I'm betting this is nothing but rumor.

Oddly enough, it's difficult to find any mention of Sheehan at moveon.org.

I think Jane Fonda would have been a better choice for this role.

This is just another movie that I'll never EVER bother wasteing my money to go see. As far as I'm concerned this one is right up there on the "don't bother watching " list as that gay cowboy movie

Rumor.

I can't seem to dig it up, but Drudge had a picture of Susan Sarandon in a place that looked a lot like texas and in makeup that made her look a lot like Sheehan.
-
Boy, as much as you guys say this woman is a nutjob, and irrelevent, and so on, you certainly seem to pay attention to anything about her.
I wouldn't have even known about this rumor of a movie had it not been posted here.
If you give her attention then you make her relevent in your life....if you don't, then she won't even register.
-
For real. If you stop talking about her, she'll go away. This is the first time in a month I've heard about her.

exactly the reason they NEED to make a movie about her ... maybe it can open mid Oct, ya know, right before elections and the REAL Cindy can be a dumbacrat spokesperson stumpin for em
lol lol lol

So is the movie bad because she is uninteresting or is the movie bad because she is a wack-job? There are lots of great movies out there about wack-jobs. Everyone here raved about the movie about the final days in Nazi Germany. Certainly you all don't agree with those politics.. do you?

I'd say it'll be uninteresting because she never really did anything, and was a hypocrite in the process of accomplishing nothing. First, she wouldn't leave until she talked to Bush. Next, she wouldn't talk to Bush even if he did come out to talk to her. Then, she said if Bush came out, she'd talk to him, but wouldn't leave. I'll admit that in the right circumstances schizo people can be entertaining... but I don't think this is going to be a comedy. Finally, she wrote a book, got arrested a few times, got paid for lots of engagements to speak to people that already agree with her, and her 15 seconds came to an end (well.. maybe not.. somebody keeps resetting the freaking clock).
The only thing I'll probably find remotely interesting are scenes of protests. I wouldn't mind seeing what whitewash job the signs will get. I've spectated a few, and heckled a few more, so I know what the signs usually say... and it's not something that'll make a PG-13 rating.
-
it is a bad idea because she is a boring whack job.
stringer... it is not her that is interesting here. It is the idea that someone would be so agendized that they would sink good money and talent into making a movie about such a boring whackjob...
It is the people involved with the movie that is the story here.... not that pitiful woman.

she ain't doin her cause any good by selling out to film rights..

What people forget or did not know is that she was in attendence with a group that met with the President before her camp-out started.

I don't think I'd find this film interesting because the core story isn't really interesting. She didn't accomplish what she set out to do, so it's no story about success. The dynamic of conflict seems to be lacking in the story line; I guess if they release it as a biography or documentary?? She's not a strong leader; she's not beautiful to look at; if it weren't for MM she would have remained an unknown.
If they do release a movie about her, I hope S Sarandon doesn't accept the roll. Her politics aside, she is a very beautiful woman. Through my eyes she is one of Hollywoods most beautiful women.

Maybe Alex Baldwin could play Cindy Sheehan?
-
Cindy Sheehan is nothing more than a big cry baby Her son died so she wants war to stop???:huh she is just useing her son's death to attack the President
-
Lazs,
To me, none of it is interesting.
It's not my money, and some fools want to spend money making it, and other fools want to spend money seeing, fine by me.
It's not like it will change anything, not in this case or having her be the subject matter.

Everybody wants this war to stop,
Her son was 18 years old and made hsi own decision to join the military, Nobody drafted or shagnhied him, or forced him to join, he knew the risk and accepted it, now he's dead and she is just really pissed cause she has no respect for her country's military, shes a wannabe Jane Fonda
-
Not even close. Right or wrong, Jane Fonda was an activist.
I don't know Sheehan's real story (and I don't much care), but I suspect that she completely supported her son's decision to join the Army. When he returned home in a box, rather than grieve she wanted vengeance and someone to blame. The liberals, correct or not, told her the things that she wanted to hear. She discovered that she was given a voice and the media put her on television and printed her words. She's trapped. She's addicted to the attention and as long as she plays the victim, she'll get a little more. At least until the media and the right grows bored enough with her antics to ignore her.
Sheehan isn't an activist. She's a noisey soccer mom with delusions of victimhood.
The fifteen minutes are up. She needs to shut her damn mouth, sit her fat bellybutton down and grieve.
Then... move the hell on. I could quite happily spend the rest of my life without ever seeing her puffy eyes and runny nose on television again.
One more thing... Sarandon is indeed one sexy woman.

I would think more on the lines of "traitor" and "disgrace". At least that`s the terms I can use here.
