Im sorry but when kids started playing with those things and Tonkas were left to rust, it was the beginning of the end.

Hang would probably say the same thing about the move from rocks and string to Tonkas.

Both my kids have played with the steel Tonkas I had, and still have, 35 years ago (jeebus...that's way tooo long)
I doubt they will have even one toy of their own that can outlast their childhood. Plastic and electronics just don't have the same legs on 'em.
When they've moved on, I'll still have those same Tonkas waiting on my grandchildren. (There's another word I'm not ready for yet).
Gotta love a good thing...

Yep I remember my Tonka trucks. They didnt last but only a few years(1963 to 1969) when I got ahold of them. Nothing could resist me with a hammer and screwdrivers. I literally took all my tonka trucks apart and put them together again swaping cabs and parts.

I saw the Darth at the store tonight and was contemplating it. Or a large Jedi fighter.
