Got hooked 5 years ago this month paying $30 for 25 minutes at the Simcade at the mall. That made $30 bucks a month seem like a steal when I figured out I could play it at home.
-
i got hooked on AH 6 years ago. i remember thinking of eating as an "inconvenience". i even played once for 48 hours. i only stopped when i started to hear air raid sirens at 20k over the ocean when i was afk in the bathroom.

driving to work yesterday and i witness a near HO collision and i look up to the corner of my windshield for the red R to see if i had that recorded. Sadly i've not been playing Ah all that much this week but i could imagine a 48 hour session.

How can you go straight and LEVEL in a climb?
-
The other day I was driving in town and i caught myselft trying to read something that was to far out to read. Instictively my left hand slipped down to activate my zoom key, lol. I told my wife and she shook her head and called me a dork. Good thing I didn't tell her about how an hour later I thought I saw a con in my rear view mirror.

sheeshhh... I'm glad I'm not the only one.
I only started AH a few weeks ago. But I've had several nights (errr.. early mornings before work) while sleeping that I've had dreams of red and green boxes.
And then the other day I was talking to my brother on the phone (who's never gone near a flight sim). He said "Gotta go...tell everyone I said hello"
I replied "Roger that..."

Sorry, fellows, I gave up a part of the code book. The other day, I asked my wife a question, got a snippy answer, and so I replied "geesh, what's with the wife ack?"
I don't remember a thing after that . . .

I too find myself using aces high lingo to much.
RGR, Copy that
Last week I told my wife I was going to go fly, she said no your not your gonna go sit in a chair, lol I guess she's right.
I told my marketing assistant at work one day that I was going to the bathroom to drop ordinance.
Me and my buddy were beer 30 after work last night chatting about the game, when these chicks come up and say "so you guys are pilots huh"............yep we sure are LOLOLOLOL.
I think my wife is right.... I'm a dork.

God i was pathetic when i first started playing ah back in 2003, i would stay up till 8 in the morning, i did this for at least a few months till i figured i needed to get my life back! Some of my greatest memories are from running goons across enemy lines, and learning to fly the p51 from Artlaw.

Yes it has. I think Ill try flying fighters now. 5 years in a field gun is long enough.

Yup, or your driving down the interstate, cut someone off in a lane and you cuss out the guy next to you for not giving you a 6 call. ;)

Almost fell off my couch after reading this... Was driving with the wife ack last month back home to Jacksonville, when I looked to read an exit sign on I-95. We were about a 1/2 mile away, when I instinctively reached to the left side of my stick (steering wheel) for the zoom key...
<----- Was also referred to as a dork by the always accurate wife ack...
Glad to hear I'm not the only one!!!!!!! :lol

I to do the rgr thing. Said it to me wife in conversation and was instantly labeled a geek. Even said "way to go" when visiting me mum once. WTG is very much NOT a British thing to say.
The phone catches me out alot. Was buying some car insurance and said "Roger that" twice in response to some questions they asked. The guy musta thought I was a nutter....I'm not am I ?
