You guys notice how fast that story got out? Wow, that happened just last night and it was in the morning news.
All I have to say is so what, here at Oregon State University about 15 people a day get arrested for MIP. What's the point of reporting that Bush's daughter got one of these???? (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/confused.gif)

bloom, as soon as ANY public figure gets caught by this, the story eventually gets out.
The more public, the faster. The Cinton's have experienced this as well, and we ALL know this.
It's not media vs republicans, however much some would want to believe this (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

Still, if she is underage why would the Secert Service allow her to drink?
-
Well.
I am underage and my bodyguards let me drink in pubs and clubs (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif) Why should they not let her?
Personaly I don't agree with that rule in the states. Over here in the UK. U are legaly alowed to drink in pubs at 18. Have Sex at 16 and drive at 17 and smoke at 16.
I think ya laws push it a little too far. But hey! If it works for you guys!
-
Big friggen deal move along nothing to see here.
-
wohoooooooooooo legal age for sex is 12 in canada!..fediddle that is sick..
no but the news story is as useless as this post...every kid ( well damn near ) dabs a bit in the sauce before they're legal...dont waste our time doubling up on a stupid story..
thx
-
I'm pretty sure legal age to have sex in Canada is 14.
The secert service should still uphold the law. I thinkt he Secert Service is just as guilty as she.
Then again...if it was american beer the odds of her getting drunk are pretty much nullified (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)

Legal drinking age being 19 here (18 in quebec) Im just wondering, who really cares.
A legal drinking age of 21 is just retarded. Hey you can drive vote, join the military but you are not responsible enough to drink... I mean come on.
-
Im moving to Canada!
-
Rosco when I was 17 in high school for a history project we had to write our congressman about something. Well I chose the legal drinking age. Needless to say I included all of those and more. Well I was the only one to get a letter back and recieved and A+ but got a sort of nasty gram from the congressman. Amazing what a little background checking can do for a young student. LOL pushing the buttons is what I call it.
In the end they said drinking age was 21 and was not changing.
-
It's so ridicilous to have laws you can't enforce, the drinking age of 21 is absurd. The legal drinking age here is 18, but usually people start drinking when they are 13 or so. The fact is that age limits have no effect in these matters when you get example from adults.

Heh, was right downtown here, on 6th street. It's no big deal, a citation. Were it one of us (I speak from experience as I was cited for possession of alchohol myself at 19), it would be like a traffic ticket we could pay and never even have to worry about our parents finding out. Unfortunately, I don't think she's going to be able to hide it (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

drinks a toast to bush's kid......you go girl
-
WTG Bushlet. What worries me is the college student's that DON'T drink. Gotta wonder about them. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
-
Ya, that is retarded. You're old enough to take a bullet for your country but not old enough to have a beer with your friends.
-
Funked they propably smoke crack.
-
So you only abide by the laws you like? (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif) (I do it this way)

Yes Santa - it's all about Personal Responsibility.
Where is her PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY!!!?!!?
Damn those liberal/commie/democrat swine! If she'd been a Republican she'd have turned herself in, done 12 months 'inside' and then been on parole for a good few years after that.

LOL, I doubt she could get more republican.
-
Don't ya love when people from other countries no more about our political parties then we do. Doesn't anybody remember Gore's son getting that DUI durring the campaign?

Drinking age limit is largely ignore. It is like the driving speed limit. It should be modified to closer match reality. All it does is make people comfortable with breaking laws. Politicians would be crusified by the "PC-nazis" if they tried because both laws "save lives."

BS, you reall think that? they are as bias as they come.

Err... I was taking the piss, Sturm. There was some irony there too.
This is a non-story - and if Chelsea had done the same, I'm sure the Republicans would be up in arms claiming it a sign of 'bankrupt morality within a culture riddled with liberal influence'.
Or something close.

Loyalist, the alcohol content of beer in Texas is 5%, lager 5.5%, Canadian beer 5-5.5%. And yes, you can get Canadian beer here. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)

When I was in college the drinking age was 19. When I was in high school, it was 18.
Then Congress blackmails the states into making the drinking age 21 with the threat of holding federal highway funds.
Ms. Bush at 19 could legally OWN the bar she was busted in, but she can't drink a beer in it. How long ago was the civil suit won against that national hotel chain that would not rent rooms to people under the age of 25? Or the rental car companies that do not rent cars to those under 25? I am not talking about requiring an extra deposit, I am talking about refusing to do business with them.
The US raises the drinking age to prevent young people from drinking and driving, thereby reducing deaths....and then we raise the speed limit, increasing highway deaths (in most states).
It's like the earlier discussion about how the kid with a pot conviction can't get a student loan, but the convicted rapist can.

I'd like to see those critics after they've seen pictures from Finland, of yesterday and today (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)
(At least of central parts of Helsinki)
May day, people gets drunk alot, not to talk about those underage drinkers...
Oh yea.. you can *buy* beer & wine in Finland when you're 18.
..other thing is who drinks it.

Jenna Nabbed for Alcohol Possession, Chelsea Gets Pass
First daughter Jenna Bush was stopped by police in Austin, Texas, early Friday morning and given a citation for illegally possessing alcohol. At 19, Bush is two years shy of the legal drinking age in Texas.
Bush was ticketed at 1:30 a.m. by police patrolling Austin's East Sixth Street, a popular destination for the city's nightclub crowd.
Bush, a freshman at the University of Texas, was not arrested.
A spokeswoman for First Lady Laura Bush answered press inquiries about the incident by saying, "We respect the privacy of this young woman and we're not going to comment on her personal life."
Former first lady Hillary Clinton has yet to comment on a report about her own daughter, Chelsea, who allegedly went on a wild spring break drinking binge in Aspen, Colo., last month.
According to Globe magazine, Secret Service agents had to intercede before the former first daughter became "sloppy drunk."
Though Miss Clinton, who turned 21 earlier this year, reportedly barhopped from one Aspen saloon to another in a visibly inebriated state, she was not cited by police for public intoxication.
The mainstream press did not report the Clinton drinking incident.
Like Chelsea, former vice president Al Gore's daughters had their difficulties with alcohol.
Gore's daughter Karenna, who is now one of her father's closest political advisers, went though her own "wild child" phase, with former high school classmates recently telling Star magazine that "she loved pot and booze bashes."
Karenna pal Anne Garofalo told Star that "Karenna was the first person you'd go to if you needed a partner in crime."
And in 1996 Gore's then-16-year-old daughter Sarah was cited for underage possession of alcohol, in an episode similar to Jenna Bush's encounter with police Friday morning.
That same year the Gores' then-14-year-old son Albert III was suspended from tony St. Albans prep school for smoking marijuana at a school dance.
The press hushed up the younger Gore's drug bust after his father personally contacted news editors and asked them to kill the story. http://www.newsmax.com/showinsidecover.shtml?a=2001/4/27/193935 (http://www.newsmax.com/showinsidecover.shtml?a=2001/4/27/193935)

Moose granted I am 9 years her elder I would still tap it!. Grass on the infield Playball. Well to be honest 5 years younger is low as i go. But anywhere higher is ok as well. Bubbleheaded 21 year olds are fun for one night but after that they get to be annoying.
