You're assuming it is a newbie and not a greifer or loser or lame-arse that's just making new accounts over and over and over posting the same **** endlessly. Knowing these forums I'm inclined to think 50% of all the B-29 requests ever made (EVER) were all the same person with "disposable" new user logins.

it's not that he requested it swoop, it's that everyone seems to request it, so often that people stop being polite and nice about it, and just get fed up. there are even some posts on the first page of the wishlist forum still open! dont even need to search.

anyways, coolio, welcome to AH. sorry everyone gets like this over the b29, it's just that it gets requested several times a week, and the reason we dont have it has been explained so many times that noone wants to type it out again...

basically, nukes were used just twice, and they would entirely unbalance the game. however, the b29 is a cool plane, and im sure we will see it in the future, but not right now.

check the wishlist forum for other b29 posts, all the answers are there

Sorry Pooface I am ONLY new this go around ask some the boys about "BigJim" my former handle here and else where, and I understand completely about new guys posting about something that been around a long time but hey they don't KNOW it and pointing it out in a "civil" mannor is NOT that tuff then they are in the "know" and also maybe more newbies who didn't know.

A request for an airplane with a VERY similar sound to the exact request in the Wishlist forum. Nowhere near the amount of justification a newbie would use to make such a request.

The first response is a smiley ridicule.

The first response by the original poster is a simple smiley response. If I were a newbie, MY first response would be 'Why are you laughing?'

So, we have somebody who started another ID on the message forum just to post a duplicate request to annoy people or ridicule the legitimate newbies that post the request.

It's the sort of smart *** attitude I have grown weary of in our community.

'nuff said. Probably too much, actually.

Normally I'd take it as a compliment, but this time I wasn't even inverted. Clearly he has tighter tolerances than most on how to operate our various aircraft and vehicles.

For this I applaud and nominate him for the hypocrite of the week club. Maybe the Pot/Kettle club. Aw heck...the lolly pop guild or welcoming committee.

Regarding the B-17 "fighter" all that happened was a dive. Not even a dive that would be considered aerobatics since I was only about 15º down chucking bombs onto a city so I could hop into a gun.

Besides, HTC wouldn't let me be a moderator...

nobody would be able to talk.

(pssst...hey. This is where you bow out since your credibility as a "nice open armed kind of guy" went up in smoke.)

I am EXTREMELY sorry I pissed you off Pooface:O I guess when the "I am an old hand at AH therefore my opinion is more important" fails it gets quite frustrating in your little corner of the world.

I am like many other "oldtimers" unhappy with how bombers are abused in AH (if think I am whinning read Doc Gonzo's posts). I feel folks who represent HTC in ANY capacity should refrain from that abuse, this is my OPINION and no one else's at this little corner of the world.

I am unlikely to intimadated by insult, snottiness, or name calling and more likely will answer in kind. Suffice to say I have stated my position and no amount of ranting on your end will change it..................out

A thick skin is needed in these boards and in the game. You see it often. One day 2 guys are at eachothers throats, the next acting like old buds. Its all part of it.

Golfer is a dweeb in the slam department compared to some of the old timers around, so he is like BB's in a howitzer match.

I do find it interesting to see how many "game the game" guys we do have in here though, it seemed that those things were frowned on in the "old" days but I guess things can change.
