Was wondering what the fuel load out is in the 262. More to the point which tank to drain out first. The fuel is listed as (see below)

What do they actually mean / refer to. Any help would be appreciated.

I really don't find any one or the other works better. With 100% fuel it's a pig and the typical profile I fly is:
Main Arena - 100% Fuel
2 notches flaps
Max power
Hold nose on the ground to 145 then gently allow the nose to lift
Rotate between 150-160 (gear begins to "creak" at 160)
Gear up as soon as ground contact lost
200mph until all trees cleared
1 stage flaps out, pitch for 250 mph
250mph flaps clean and pitch for 300mph
Climb out 300mph indicated.
Watch maneuvering and loading up G's until you've burned through most of your fuel. Off hand I think it holds just under 600 gallons...about 4000lbs. Once you burn off a couple hundred gallons (usually enough time to climb to 15k) it handles nicer and you can stretch it out a bit more. Bread and butter flying in this sucker is when you're down to about 350 gallons or less and she will do almost anything you ask of her and do it better as she gets lighter.
