Title: Gang Bang Icons Gone?
Post by: Choocha on March 27, 2006, 10:09:04 AM: Sombody told me HiTech modified the ICONS....is that true? If GangBang Icons are gone then Perkies are worth it and I'm comming back..

"shhIamnotaJet"

What did change was you cannot see the "Tempest" Icon until you are real close ... and when not in real close (from a distance) it says ... "Typh". This is typical of all the perk planes now ... except the 262 and 163 ... see above.

Yup ... same with the

F4U-C

"Spit" till ya get close

"C2" till ya get close

"190" (I think) for the Ta-152

"P-38" till ya get close

Same with the rest basically ... you wont see the particular model number until you get close.

Post by: Schutt on March 27, 2006, 02:59:33 PM: CC can only identify when closer than 800yards. That means 800 yards has 2 distances now, further than 800 listing as 800 without detailed plane info and closer than 800 listing with plane info. I guess it flips at 800 yards.

190 ... A5, A8, D9, 152

109 ... E4, F4, G2, G6, G14, K4

C2 ... C202, C205

F4F ... F4F, FM2

Spit ... Spit1, Seaf, SpitV, SpitVIII, SpitIX, Spit14, Spit16

F4U ... F4U-1, F4U-1D, F4U-1C, F4U-4

P38 ... G, J, L

A6M ... 2, 5

P-47 ... D11, D25, D40, N

LA ... 5, 7
And so on. Is also verry nice if your in a slow plane not everyone knows they can catch you. And some of the new free planes are pretty good, spit16 got a verry good climbrate.

Finally, it took so long for HiTech to make these changes..after years and years of begging him. It so unrealistic to have everybody in the MA stop what they are doing and run the Perkie down like a dog with no reguard for anything else. Now its worth collecting Perks.

Yeah, I always let F4Us go unless they are F4U-4s.

He changed it about a year ago :rofl
