I would like to be able to view my own, and other players scores while in flight...There is no good reason to have it only limited to the tower
thanks
-
There is... alt tab out, and open up the scorepage here on HTC's website.
-
No Urchin thats not that I am asking...I would like to be able to look at scores from the clipboard while in flight...I dont see how hard it would be to enable this...and myself and many others are not able to alt tab out because when we minimize AH we loose connection
HTC?
-
HTC...would this be possible?
-
?

Your in-tower roster page score is only tabulated once a day. The server creates logs of everything, and a process is run every 24 hours to automatically update the database by scanning the log and taking the info from it. This eats up compute cycles, and system resources. To have 500+ players doing it nonstop all day would probably kill almost every process running on the server (or whatever computer was computing the scores).
It's not feasible, I don't think.
-
Im not talking about the scores constantly being updated...I'd just like to be able to click on my name, or a squaddie, or anyone to be honest while in bound to a fight to kill some time and look at their individual stats/score...(KD, hit % etc...) Maybe I am not understanding you Krusty, but how is it any difference to the server or computer if you looked up the scores while in flight opposed 2 looking them up in the tower...why wouldnt they show you the same thing
-
Cav what krusty is trying to say (i think)
is that the scores displayed in game arent current i think they are updated twice a day.
The actual scores are current on the website (real time) however the actual ranks for each category and overall rank seem to only get refreshed once a day maybe twice i m not sure.
-
hes not looking for his rank, he's looking for his score:rolleyes:
as in, opening up the roster, right clicking his name, and seeing his k/d ratio and stuff, NOT his rank
-
LOL. What he is trying to say is that while he is flying, he would like to look up the data on any player, kind of like when you are in the tower and go to the roster page to look up a players data. He never mentioned anything about updating scores, only about accessing the scores.
-
How do you see scores?
-
Mobius and Poo...you hit the nail on the head.... I could care less about updated ranks or scores...Id just like to have the same option to look at my score/stats whatever you want to call it in the air, the same as if im in the tower and right click and select scores

To clearify, the rankings are only updated once per day (years ago, it was updated every couple hours). The scoring data is instantly updated at the end of every sortie, and is avalible with .score or the website.
I would like to be able to use .score in flight myself, rather than alt-tabbing out, and tapdancing through the mandatory frames portal to access HTC's scoring database.

I see what you mean, Cav. You just want to another point of access for the same info that's already there.
Hrm.. I don't see why they don't have that already :)
-
Yea I never really understood why this has not been enabled in flight, nor did I ever get an official explaination in the past when asking this question. HTC would it be possible to enable scores to be viewed during flight from the right click roster?
thanks

You know, in Raider Wars I think it was enabled for flight. I think it's possible.
-
I'm wondering if it would cause a connection bump when you opened it . When i open it in the tower it pauses for a quick second while grabbing the info off the server . Maybe thats why it's not enabled . Hope Hitech chimes in on this , as i would also like this feature . 38
EDIT: I just tested it , and it does create a jump in variance everytime you click a score for someone . Its not a huge jump , but it might be enuff that some dweeb would exploit it .
-
you already can look at the scores
-
no you cant
