Title: Video driver problem ?

Hi ,

After the new update , I had toreload vid drivers ...
After about 7 to 10 minutes , my screen goes black and the sim shuts down and i have to re-boot my box .
I'm running a BFG Nvidea GeForce PCI vid card and installed the latest drivers from BFG , to no avail .
Any ideas ?

What specific video card [ model ] do you have and what drivers did you use?
With older cards the newest drivers may not be the best ones to use for it.

Either way, we need a tad more info on your system to help with the problem.
If you do a DxDiag report and post the upper 1/3 or so, that should give us more info to help out.

Mske sure whenever you reload drivers that you uninstall the previous set in add and remove programs . I then boot into safemode and run a utility called driver cleaner . http://www.drivercleaner.net/

Then boot into windows and reinstall the drivers .  Silat has a post in here somewhere on the exact step by step procedure . Just do a search . I'm gunna be late for FSO . GL 38

Sorry , I forgot to say , the vid card is an Nvidia , GeForce 6800 PCI .

Guess that removes the 'use older drivers' theory.
