Title: Net stat comparison between old machine and new
Post by: Wolfala on April 01, 2006, 07:48:02 PM
This is for those guys who have the X64 issue

Old machine - which was an AMD XP 2000

Never had a problem.

Now the new netstat when Windows has Minimal Power management checked on an AMD 64 x2

Now switch from minimal power management within windows to something else.

Badda bing!

I switched out from minimal power management within XP to something else, and it flatlined back to normal.

Mine looked just like that until I killed off the Intel power saving in the BIOS... which is a PITA since I have to go into the BIOS to re-set it each time I want to go mobile with any decent battery life.

P-M cpus must be niche too.
