Hmmm... it's good to see WB paying homage to AH.

Oh, so AH now has their halftrack available to Mac players also? Wait till I tell MG. He'll love it!

Mac player is a guy who never saw WB in 3D unless he peeked at his PC pal's screen. WBIII is changing I hear - rejoyce the Mac player (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)

Looks pretty good.

At least ours won't kill driver when hitting a tree (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)
-
You mean, WB is paying homage to AH, who is paying homage to AW, don't you?
-
Staga: last time I checked, driving a vehicle into a tree at least hurts, sometimes even kills the driver..
-
This screen shot looks very good....

Nope.

Just to nit pick abit, the people are a bit to small, as are the M2's, and the jerry can and ammo drums are a little to big.
If you need justification,
A M3 halftrack was designed around the dimensions of the average person for the era spanning oh, the 19-teens through the war, which was about 5'4". It wasn't perfect for everyone but it was workable for most.
That really doens't mean much, just a regurgetated fact... (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/redface.gif)
Anyway the front seats of a M3 are pretty cramped. I believe the driver is crouching sorta, but the cabin dimensions are to big. It might just be the angle though, but it's the same with the gunner.
For scale, the M3 had either 35" or 38" tires.
But if it's made to where it can be buttoned up, it's gonna be sweet (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
Oh and the anti-ditch gear is nicely done, as is the under carriage.

Care to rephrase that into a sentence that makes sense? Thanks.
WBs has observed how successful the introduction of ground vehicles has been in AH, and so has used the same thing in WBIII. It's as obvious as the difference between night and day.
I would have expected them to model another mobile AAA vehicle though - surely there are plenty out there to chose from other than an M-16?
-
Yeager I have a P2-400 with 128 Megs and a $90 video card (Geforce MX2) and the framerate is great. It's a really nice graphics engine, and I hope HTC buy it when iEN folds.
-
Sure. Ground vehicles have been around since the early days of AW; AH didn't think of that all by themselves. Thus to say that WB is imitating AH for having them is not correct.
-
Funked old buddy, what makes you think WB will fold? You are starting to sound like Checksix. Is he you?
-
I wonder if it also will fall over its nose when front wheel gets blown (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)
-
bah those old bi-direction tires hold the orgins of "run flat tires"
The sidewalls are so stiff they can run a long time on 0 pressure. They just won't steer very well and it leaves a tire print about a foot wide.
-
Gadfly go look at iEN's financial reports some time.
-
They suck, but remember that we can't look at HT's or WWIIonline's. What makes you think theirs are any better?

No comment. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

A long, long time ago, an ICI type spoketh (paraphrased):
"were going to model tanks, ships also, were just going to model all the planes first"
This has always been the goal for the people who started WB, and now they have split and some are doing it in AH, the other half in WWIIOL.
And HS is continuing in WB, though he may not know it, or maybe he does, he was an old WB vet b4 starting at IEN, I believe he did AW also.
