Yeah I saw it on the Akro list Yesterday evening.
1 Lucky SOB! Could you imagine if the thing let go low level in his routine at Sun and Fun.
Was an awesome plane! I can't wait to see version 2.

Well that answers my question....or maybe part of it...
Was wondering if anyone still wore parachutes...
-
Everyone does. It's FAA requirement as well as they have to be re-packed every 120 days.

Mars has a special one that is marked ... CHUTE ... in plain sight ... this is so he doesn't get confused and accidentally put on his My Little Pony backpack when he goes up.

is that just acrobatic pilots? Wondering why folks go down with restored ww2 planes? Pride? or the fact that the restoration cost $$$$ and they want to try to save it, or think they can overcome an aircraft failure?

LOLH My Little Pony PINK backpack thank you. :D
It is mandatory for everyone engaging in aerobatics to wear a chute, no matter the plane.
Most warbird guys I see do wear a chutes. I guess the bottom line is, if you can get out most will try.
I think it says alot about Tucker and the plane that he did not try to nurse it in. There is a definate point where your bank can not be saved with rudder. Go past that low level and your dead.
