Ima referring to the New MTV show of course,
here is a little background:
love muffin is a comedy show where the host and several friends preform humorous stunts, many in public and video tape them, an example would be the segment called "wee man"
in this segment a little person dressed EXACTLY like an oompaloompa goes skateboarding thought a town and they videotape people reactions from afar. Another would be the one where a guy dresses up in a gorilla suit and goes to the city zoo and stands in front of the gorilla exhibit pointing at the other gorillas and crying. goofy stuff like that, they also do more.."interesting" stuff like dare a guy to dive into a big pile of elephant poop, or get sprayed by a skunk..repididly.
Of course before every show they have a BIG disclaimer stating the usual "Do not EVER try any of the stunts depicted in this show"
and to boot they add a giant skull and crossbones to the bottom.
well guess whey they are getting sued.
Why you ask? well here is the deal..
In one skit the host dresses up in a full body firesuit and all the usual stuntman burn gear, then he hung a bunch of steaks all over him and then laid down on this big piece of chainlink fence positioned over a fire, after a few min the steaks are cooked everybody eats up and that's that..
Well some 13 year old rocket scientist decided to do this as well...accept he decided to just do it in shorts in a T-shirt, of course he got burned and ended up in the hospital.
Well the kids mom is not trying to sue the show because her kid is a doofus.
sorry just had to vent.
BTW here is the "wee man" looks just like the Wonka one don't he?

If he was a lil older I'd damn near bet he's the one that got Beavis and Butthead canceled.
And thanks to Fox, buying Judge's soul, I'll never hear an honest video critque again.

I too miss Beavis & Butthead.
Rest in peace my good friends.

Not the only type of show to be blamed for "creating" a bad situation. A death in the US has been attributed to the WWF showing "wrestlers" bashing each other on the head with a folding chair. You guessed it. A low IQ kid about 12 or 13 yrs old did that to a smaller child (6yrs I think) and it was fatal.
There is a definite disconnect between TV and reality that seems hard for some people to grasp.

More likely the parents who cause these stupid lawsuits don't want to come to terms with the fact that they don't know how to be a good parent and actually teach their kid not to do stupid things.
What these people think:
"MY baby is perfect!! It must be someone else's fault!! Blame the TV!!! Blame video games!!! Blame the school!!!"
The same people who sue over TV shows are those who grew up watching Cowboys shoot Indians and Looney Tunes hit each other with mallets and blow each other up with TNT. It's not that they REALLY think their kids are learning bad behavior from the TV; they just want a scapegoat for their own bad parenting. Many modern parents don't DESERVE children; they lack the responsibility.
My favorite TV show when I was small was "Bugs Bunny & Friends". yet I have never tried to hit someone with a mallet. I do not have the urge to drop a boulder on an unspecting victim. I also had a good family in which at least one of my parents was home at all times.
Unfortunately it is easier for society to blame TV and video games than come to terms with the need for parental responsability. I just wonder--what will happen when they run out of scapegoats?

Does anyone remember that college football movie (not unneccesary roughness), where the guys get drunk at a bar then go out into the middle of a busy highway and lay down on the yellow lines while cars drive by?
That's hollywood.
Some idiots decided they'd do it to, blammo! They became red stains on the black asphalt.
Theory of natural selection at it's finest... weed out the dumb so the intelligent(or seemingly) can go on living without worrying about what they are going to decide to do next if they live through their first dumb bellybutton act.
America is becoming more and more embroiled in letting lawyers do their work for them.
Don't like what someone said to you? Sue 'em!
Your kid's an idiot and you suck at parenting, your kid gets hurt doing something dumb you should of made sure they would never of thought about? Sue the bastard that gave them the idea!
Don't like what's on TV? Sue the broadcasting station!
You get into a car accident and nothing but the car is damaged? Oh hell, lets just sue them too.. we could use some money right?
No, I've got a better idea... lets put all the lawyers and idiots on the first mission to colonize mars. Only lets "forget" that a space station doesn't exist there so when they hop out... well lets just say we don't have to deal with them.

What wasn't mentioned was that the aforementioned braniac had his friend pour gasoline on him before he was set on fire.
I did a buttload of stupid things when I was a kid (defined as 1 to 25 years of age), including, but not restricted to, activities involving pellet guns, high-speed vehicular stuff &.... well you don't want to know.
But I was never dumb enough to set myself on fire after having gas poured on me.
Somebody tell me this kid wouldn't have done something just as stupid without "love muffin".

I saw part of that show at a friend's house once. A guy put a gas mask on, and other than that was wearing just shorts & a t-shirt. Then he got in a used porto-potty which was then tipped over. I haven't watched the show again.

LOL@ SOB!
You caught prolly the NASTIEST part of that show I have ever seen, most of the "bits" arnt that raunchy. THat one grossed Me out too though. My fave is the one where they get a herse and put a friend in a coffin in the back and park on steep hills near crowded areas, then the back pops open and the coffen slids out the back on to the ground.
cracks me up.

Going after a TV show in an effort to blame someone else for your actions is another example of the good ole American (I mean USA Americans (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif) ) way of shifting responsibility from where it really belongs to someone else. It's pretty sad, really.
As for a review of the show itself, I find it rather dumb and pointless. Of course, if I wasn't 38 I might find it funnier. Yea, once in a while there is something worth a chuckle, but for the most part....dumb and pointless IMHO.
Fury
p.s. a good deal more dumb and pointless than the other dumb and pointless shows out there.

If I see this show while surfing, I will stop to watch. The one that cracked me up the most is when the guy tries to do microphone interviews with women on the street while sporting a very big, very obvious boner which makes a tent on the front of his pants. Yeah, the show is stupid. I like the 3 stooges, too. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

I dont watch much TV. love muffin and Tom Green are the most stupid shows on tv, however for some reason I ALWAYS HAVE TO STOP AND WATCH THEM. and I never laugh so hard with other s hows. The sheer stupidity of it really cracks me up.
Just watching Tom Green getting drunk in one episode and throwing up was sad but at the same time hilarious.
And love muffin...
The episode in wich they dress with Medieval armors, get some lances, and do a joust in BICICLES all the while ROLEPLAYING like they are real knights, and they were hitting each other REALLY hard.
Or the time some guy swallowed a gold fish, drank a lot of water, and PUKED IT ALIVE in a bowl.
I know its stupid. I know its not intelligent, but damn, its funny.
sorry for the typing, but I got a KILLER HANGOVER.
