Title: Experiencing...vibrations....
Post by: OOZ662 on April 05, 2006, 10:15:16 PM
Well, this is an odd one. I bet you think I'm reporting the gun shake or the stall buffet...that isn't it.

My game vibrates. Everything except the cockpit gauges have the edge pixels dissapearing and reappearing, which simulates movement.
The best description I have is to imagine the old Ostwind gun shake, except it's only a couple pixels instead of a bobblehead. Now imagine this never stopping. In planes, vehicles, tower, hanger, everywhere.

No background programs other than Norton AV (Yeah, I know. Shaddup. :D) and RivaTuner.

Yes, but until now (2 years) I haven't had any issue with it. Besides, packet information shouldn't be messing with the textures on my FE.

New update; it seems that the same thing happens if I Alt-Tab in Civilization IV. Must be my system then; though I could fix that by restarting the program. AHII wouldn't cut it out until the system was restarted. It's fixed for now, but it was fixed before too.

from the way this was writen.... or to me any way... it sounds like shutting down your system isn't something you do often, or is an extreme action. I boot my system at least twice a day. Tho maybe a bit excessive, a clean boot clears your ram and windows swap files. Each program you run and stop leaves little pieces of info stuck in your computer. Over time this can really effect the proformance of your computer.

I'm not saying to boot as often as mine, but if you use your computer for a lot of different things, I'd boot it more often just to clean it up.

I shut it down every night before bed. I just don't feel like restarting my computer three times a day to fix a silly issue like this every time it pops up; I wonder if FSAutoStart has anything to do with it...

I've been running FSAutoStart for years with no trouble. It just sounds like you ram is getting clogged and while swapping it drops stuff.

other than testing your ram I can't think of anything else to check.
