Post by: BlueJ1 on April 11, 2006, 04:44:19 PM: How in the love of coad do you land? I figured out after awhile how to bring landing gear up. Everytime I try to land (yes with gear down) I die. I can beat the first island without dieing now. But I always lose a life trying to land. :mad:

To land is simple but hard to do. You must lower the plane to very close to the water. Lower the gear then start to add up elevator but not throttle. The plane will start to settle nose up. Once you are over the very end of the carrier go full up and hold it. If you are close the plane will start to roll on the deck. You must roll over the wires to catch the wire and land. If you miss the wires hit the throttle and do a go around. Once you do a few landings it becomes fairly easy. In the old version on the apple you used to be able to see the carrier in the little window in the center lower portion of the screen.

Once you have landed follow the instructions of the director (flag guy) to go onto the elevator. Once he puts both flags up, hit X and you'll go into the ship and be refueled and rearmed with your choice of weapon.

You can always taxi to one end of the ship and turn around and take off. Alot easier then. Only takes a few seconds longer.

Post by: BlueJ1 on April 13, 2006, 01:05:21 PM: Made it to the fourth mission with all my lives. I saw how much ad to be destroyed and just gave up. So many lconcrete bunkers, regular bunkers, and a spit load of barracks. Woulda taken atleast an hour to finish.
