I decided not to do a 5.1 sound version and only do a stereo version
More things were added and I'm going to call this my final version of it.
It took many hours to get the file size down.
This is my first film and it will be a long time before I make another one.
Film Length: Just over 10min.
Enjoy

great camera angles! filming it inside the game really paid off well. were you using the other guys as doubles so you could get some of those shots?

Nice work Kermy :)
-
Can't view it.... AGAIN:mad:
-
Pooface, answer it yes.
Every shot was taken from me. I just had to get everyone in their places to say action to make it look consistent and as if everyone had a TrackIR.
:)
Thanks everyone for watching and posting.
Bogie, the site is from lgmfims.net, so make sure it's not block.
Transfer speeds will vary depending on location. I can get 500kbps. I noticed the internet was slow last night when downloading wolfala's film.
BuLLZ, I'm going to burn it and mail it to ya so that your brokearse dial service doesn't have to wait 3 or 4 days to download it.:D
Just keep trying bogie
-
Awesome Job... I'll post mine now.
-
Very nice movie, Kermit! I like the idea of staging the action. :)
-
That was unbelievable. that was definatley worth the effort..
Kudos mate.. fantastic.
-
Thanks elixir.
I was wondering if HiTech or Skuzzy have seen it. Maybe it could be put in the movies section on their website. But I guess it might have to be about something they'd like to share with their target audience. Eh, oh wait, it is about a tbm and an a6m2, didn't they fight in real life in that match up? Hmm...
Man, only a few have downloaded and commented on it. I was hoping for around a hundred or so viewers. I've tried whoring my film in the general forum, but I need sexier legs or something to get their attention to come over to the films section.
Staging, yes, but look at the sky, if it looks redish, that was from actual footage in the MA. That was footage I took when going after the CV. Those parts weren't staged. I then had help from ren and golfer for fill in shots. Then it kept going from there and I had to make up some parts to keep it interesting. That's when I staged everything. I had great people willing to keep doing the same scenes over and over so that it look good and consistent. BTW, in the game, we died instantly the first time going after the CV. The 2nd time, our tops missed, but our rockets got it. Then we died by a niki.:D

Nice Job:aok
-
i think using other people's music can mean royalties :)
and im sure HT doesnt want to fork out a handful of cash to kenny loggins:aok

Old Chinese Secret
:D
edit:
The only part of the film that was captured from the film viewer was the opening scene and the part where the cv is sinking.
The film Viewer doesn't record TIR movement. I was only one to have TIR, and so that I used it as the only camera. I had great stunt pilots, with some camera tricks to make it seem like the others had a TIR as well, but in fact, it's still me that is recording the views. Make sense?
-
makes sence to me froggy : )
-
just watched it, kudos kermit, awsome editing there bud....didnt realize that you could get shots like that with the ah film, makes me just want to step up my filming to the next level......great film......
-
Thanks 68devil
It's films like yours and also KINGCAT that inspired me to finally learn how to make a film and then actually do it.
Only 2 scenes were captured with film viewer. The first scene of the friendly cv and when the enemy cv was sinking.
The rest was captured in the game. (fight scene was most complex and required doing the same stunts a few times until it looked convincing.
I should have aimed a little closer to that zero, kindof looks like i'm going to shoot my wingy. (aldari's perspective)
A script was later written after the storyboard was made and the voice overs were done without the others actually ever seeing the film. (others = guile)
-
Still waiting for it to arrive. *pokes US Postal service*
-
Holy damn!
It arrived today. Thanks for the mailing, I couldn't have sat through a 13 hour download.
I grinned all the way through it. Simply awesome!! :aok
Nothing else to say other than awesome.... again.
Next one should have British planes and British voice overs. :p

Kermit for some reason I get a "cannot find error".
Any way of some one else hosting it please.
Bronk
-
I'll see if I can get my squad website to host film.
Otherwise:
Try this (http://72.9.241.98)
Once there, close browser and then try the link up top.
Reason is maybe your local router doesn't know about my website.
This is just a guess so this may not work. Also, you may not be able to see anything on my website.
-
Nope no dice . I hope your squad can host. Ahh well thanks for trying.

My site will be down for the next hour or so. Link will not work until 9pm Pacific time. That's just 1 hour away.
I'm uploading the film again. I've done some minor tweaks to it. It's worth downloading again, even if you did download it earlier.
I took an 11 week break from this film. I've spent a total of 3 weeks of filming and editing. and thank you to those that helped me get this done. Thank you very much. Some people are telling me to stop working on this film and make another, I think I'll finally do that. :)
Purpose of this film is to entertain someone for 10min. I hope you enjoy it.
Again, link is at the top of the page in my first post. Please wait until just after 9, which is about 35 minutes away.
If it doesn't work, I'll be able to check it when I come back in a few hours.
Please post a response good or bad after downloading. This will help me figure out what kind of audience is lurking on these boards.
