Title: This week's setup
Post by: AutoPilot on April 09, 2006, 05:53:12 PM
This map is a blast. We had some really good fights all day today, first we upped a B-17 mission, then a tempest mission. The turn out was awesome, the fights were at around 10-K and up.really high level of excitment something that the AvA has been missing for a while.

I got 4 more people too go into the AvA today that had never even been in there before and they are now going to be in there fighting more seeing as how paying 15 dolla's for just the MA is a waste of their money.

Only problem i see with this set-up is no one will fly Allies with us, they all want to be germans.

:aok Keep up the good work AvA staff!!!!!!!!:D

Tonight i pop into the AvA and find of course someone has captured more bases. Why are the troops even turned on in the AvA?

This is really one of the best set-ups in a long time.

Base capture is possible because taking a base can sometimes be the focus of a series of very good fights.  With this map it's difficult for a midnight porker to reset everything, so we've left it as something-for-everyone.

I think so too. However everytime I've been able to fly the numbers have been as low as I've seen in a while.:(

Any time Spits and Temps are enabled, lots of people want to fly them.  Fortunately for the Axis, this setup has the 109K-4, which is a real monster.

I wish you would reconsider, the last thing we allies need is good sticks like you upping K4s.
We need all the good spit14 pilots we can get at this stage of the game.

Thanks for noticing.:aok

Have a nice trip back to the darkside. Be careful though, Storch and crew will strafe that short bus when you pull up to the airfield. Just like a wolf pack they'll thin out their lame.

Way too make the 880 look good Bug ! Keep up the good work with the PR.
Come on here flaming someone that's the spirit ol'chap!

You still need too keep working on those weak jokes of yours.

For a long time it is people like you and Shifty that has made the numbers low with your country club attitudes. The numbers are low again and i have brought 10 more people in this week and there has been some good action in the arena. All you can do is come on here with a weak attempt at a cutdown.

You know i was wondering why Warloc wasn't flying with the 880 and now i think i know why. It's a shame really for he was about the only squad leader i can follow, one of the main reasons i am not flying 880 today.

Wow.
You really make some outrageous statements. I didn't start this mess you did with all your chest thumping and remarks you made in the aircraft and vehicles board about a squadmate of mine.

You don't see me being one of the goons that gets on chnl 200, and whines, or insults people when I get shot down, or the numbers are off, or I just don't like the way the other guy is flying.  You won't see me  get on this board telling other people whats wrong with their flying, their squad, or bragging about how I am the one making the AvA a better place.
I don't get on here and mention the number of people I've brought into this arena over the years, which happens to be significant.

I took a poke at you about your BS switch being on because your the first person I've ever seen actually act like they were doing the people in the arena a favor by flying Spitfires. You also said you don't fly Tempest, after saying you flew a Tempest. So if your going to supply the  comedy, I'm going to laugh at it. This has been one of the funniest exchanges I've been involved with.

I don't know where you get off telling me I have a country club attitude. Or telling me I think the world revolves around me. After all your self back patting , your the one that needs to check their orbit. ;)

I figured out the new squad in AVA seems to be III/JG52. I'm guessing thats your squad. Thats a great thing , the AvA always needs more squads, and the more Axis squads the better. :aok   I'd still like to know what name you fly under. Or is it to remain a mystery?

Hey Bug! You owe me one pal. I deloused the 109 off you , and you turn around put your feet up, eat popcorn, drink beer, and let that TA-152 pork me like Richard Simmons first night in prison??;)

I actually got killed looking back and marveling at the freakin wingspan on that beast. I was about to entertain the idea of seeing if I could get low enough for his wings to hit the ground........... Then Mr MK 108 came knocking on my back door. Enjoyed flying with ya Bug

Guys, for once I'm at a loss for words, I was just coming round to thinking that maybe our erstwhile friend and defender of the skies autopilot was actually kind of harmless and eccentric in his own way, but now I'm not so sure, this guy could actually be serious..:O

In the navy, you can sail the seven seas, in the navy...
We want you, we want you as the new recruit....

Sorry for introducing  that village people song but it's kind of an internal 78thFG joke...

He reminds me of a guy called Gary Millburn, Now this guy was Rambo personified, He used to love being the first to volunteer for stuff if no volunteers were needed etc.
An example, Parachute training, Balloon day , first jump, We are all sitting around on the grass/benches whatever, looking at the cloud level and if it was a go/no go, instructor comes up and tells us all, "okay lads, no jump today, cloud level is below 800ft " ( or whatever it was)
Millburn, gets up and says " Rubbish!, we should be going now, I'm ready, I wanted to be first, lets just go now!"

You get the picture guys?.....

No way Shifty that is a complete and total lie!

I wasn't eating popcorn.;)

Thanks for the clear Shifty, tried to get around to help you out was about 3 seconds late, sorry.  Had fun flying with you last night too.

I'm standing by my statement, that Autopilot or Todd420 or Broke Back Klink or whatever alias he chooses is a genuine twit.  I challenge him to prove me otherwise, at this point I believe the court is in my favor.

I was just kidding, that's why I had the winking smilie (;)) in there. Sure, we do need more newbs - the kinds of who like historical setups and fair fights.

And I want to thank you for bringing all those people into the AvA, and for all your kind words.
