Title: folding wings for blue planes
Post by: moneyguy on April 10, 2006, 06:45:08 PM: i know its a long shot and really wouldn't do anything for the game, but, can we get folding wings for the blue planes? i just think it would be a cool add.

all for them being redone / skinned so they don't have that OCTAGON appearance on the nose, but hope they keep the cockpit/instrument panel near what it is now, some of them other planes you can barely read what the guages are telling you.......

oh yeah, please please lighten the bore site screen, NB will not fly the hogs until that is remedied.........hehe

Well, since we don't have to pack 'em in below decks, I suppose it doesn't add much in that context... But wow, that would shorten your landing distance.

Actually not a half bad idea.
To prevent forgetting to unfold me they can juist have it so they start off up and automatically fold down then the engine is spun up

No, I think you are misunderstanding.

Correct me if I am wrong - what would happen when you spawn on the Carrier - you would go from the tower to your aircraft on the Hangar Deck. Then the deck elevator would lift you up to the Flight Deck, your wings would automatically unfold and you could start you engine, taxi forward and take-off like normal.

Don't know how this would affect landing aircraft. Maybe have it where it could only be seen by the spawning pilot.

Anything to increase the realism & immersion level I'm all for, this is a great game with some great people & I'd like to see it become top dog of the online gaming world; but as long as it takes a super computer to keep up the frame rates it's not likely to happen.
