But not a new version of Aces High
A new version of Air Warrior--AW4--is beginning the development phase. (version 3.5 is no different than current version). This will be the first ever completely new version of Air Warrior since 1987. Release will almost certainly be sometime during 2001.
I know this is the Aces High forum. But, Air Warrior is the reason that we even have Aces High--it was the FIRST online WW2 flight sim (1987). HT and company once played this game before creating WarBirds. AW created the mold, the gameplay, which newer games have built upon.
It is good to see that Air Warrior will be getting some new life, rather than fading into nothing, forgotten by all--which looked quite possible even a year ago. It deserves better.

One thing that is important to remember is that people LEAVING aw is the reason we have AH (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif) HT and gang left it way back when to do something better. I believe the succeeded.
I wish AW the best of luck on its new version, but I will always have the feeling they cater more toward the casual sim player as opposed to the enthusiast.
