For some reason today when I change my squad message of the day (via upload or by short text) it does not automatically display when entering the arena....
Ideas? Seems like this was fine a few days ago.
-
Me too. Looks like the new patch porked it.
-
Has this been accepted as a bug?
No response from 'management'.
Once again H2H gets ignored despite the fact that some are paying customers!!!!!
-
Pitzz, calm down, every thread in this forum is analyzed. THEY DONT MAKE UPDATES IN SECONDS!
-
pitzz, HTCs customer service is one of the best.
But bogie is right. They cant make patches in a second, especially if its a MINOR bug like that. And BTW; HT has a habit of ignoring attitudes like yours. They read this forum. But if they replied to every bug posted here, they wouldnt have the time to FIX them - soooo: You reported the bug, now all you got to do is WAIT.
-
Thanks. got the message.
Apologies. Was getting a little frustrated.
-
I swore myself not to update to newer versions of AHII until HTC fixed the MOTD bug. I don't want to go back to the thing of having to explain the rules to EVERY newcomer!
So, anyone know if the new patch has been released fixing the MOTD bug?
-
"H2H hosts can now post a login/MOTD message."
That's from the 2.07 readme file for that update. You can always check whats changed reading them.
Just make sure you name it correctly. Having never put up a MOTD in a H2H arena I think the name should be motd.h2h but I'd need a fication from clara on that.
-
I'm not asking HOW to post an MOTD. I'm asking if the latest released patch allows you to do it. I havent downloaded it, so I dont have the readme.txt file. And i'm not going to download it becuase the latest patch that was released after 2.07 disabled the MOTD (2.07 P1). That's why im wondering if another patch has been released that allows the MOTD to operate again?
-
Usually the list of updates is posted on the AH2 home page so you don't need to download the patch to see whats changed.

Thanks, I preffer the other link;) ( http://www.hitechcreations.com )
Edit:
Nope, HTC ignored H2H again! :(
I'm gonna go E-mail them and ask. Then ill post on what they say.

http://www.hitechcreations.com and http://www.flyaceshigh.com
I'll say tom-A-to and you can say tom-AH-to but they're both a red thing you grow in a garden.
I'm sure HTC has a list of priorities and they do things according to that list.
I'll be my tom-A-to to your tom-AH-to that the H2H MOTD fix is on that list of things to do.
-
I know its on the list. I'm just implying that it doesent take them 4 months to get it fixed again!

I just got some news from HTC. Skuzzy said that he never knew that the H2H MOTD and the MA Squad's MOTD was not working. So I sent him a reply telling him that there were reports on this forum that the MOTD was no longer working after Version 2.07 Patch 1.
Hope that helps;)
-
Actually, as you might have read earlier in another topic. HTC didn't even know that there was a problem with both H2H MOTD and Squad's MOTD in MA. So I sent them a reply to an e-mail series explaining that after Version 2.07 Patch 1 the MOTD never worked again.
So, waiting on word to see what they say. Hope that helps;)

For the MA Squad MOTD 'bug' I think you are incorrect.
I just uploaded both ways, inputting it from the O'Club and uploading a file, and both work for me.

Oh, okay. Well I heard earlier that it didnt work. So just going with what I know and the fact that the bug being fixed was never mentioned in the readme.txt file. Thanks for the info:aok

I'll just repeat myself:

One thing though, it sure makes posting a reply to the MOTD bug problem quite easy with a cut-n-paste :)
Think we can put a RIP on it now and stop the blantant abuse of Rule#3.
That way Skuzzy wont have to get out his silver hammer and BONK us on the noggin.
-
I'm afraid it's too late for that... BUT WE CAN STOP:D Don't hurt us Skuzzy! We didn't do it. It was peer pressure!
