Will anyone please provide a link to a chart showing the ballistics used in AH2 for the various shells?
In particular, 37mm, .50 cal, .303 cal, 20mm, and 5".
Thanks in advance.

Someone may surprise me, but as far as I know such a comprehensive chart does not exsist. What are you looking for? effective range? drop over distance? if you are a little more specific about what it is you're after more people may chime in with their opinions.
-
Yes.......effective range, drop over distance, dispersion.
-
Drop and dispersion you can find out yourself by using the .target xxx command in game and firing on the target that appears. Range is an easy one...
.30 cal MG: 7-800 yards (been a while, can't remember exactly)
.50 cal, 20mm, 30mm: 1,500 yards
37/40mm: 3,200 yards
5" or bigger: 14,500+ yards
Max effective range is around 350 yards for .30 cal weapons. All the others still pack enough wallop at 1,500 to inflict some damage. 37mm or larger are lethal against both ground and aerial targets out to max range. 5" guns can plaster targets at 50 yards or 40,000 feet equally, since they inflict damage through a proximity-fuzed shell instead of physical impact.

I find that the 40mm on the hurr 2D are completly ineffective against AA, i usually have to shoot them bout 3-5 time with them

The 40mm rounds on the HurriIID are AP (Armor Pierceing).
They are made to take on tanks and armored vehicles. They don't have an exploding charge - they use Kenetic Energy to pierce the armor and disable a target.
You actually hit a flak gun and it will drop it but as stated above - you actually HAVE TO HIT THE GUN - not just get close as with the HE rounds such as the 20mm's.

LOL a fist sized chunk of metal slamming into and most likely through a plane can and does cause alot of damage :)
I forget who did it but someone had a hurri 2d movie showing some great one shot air to air kills with it.

Not the modelling, but the results for weapons at various ranges using various convergence settings:
20 mm Cannons (http://www.netaces.org/ahweapons/20mm.html#title)
~ .50 cal MGs (http://www.netaces.org/ahweapons/hvymg.html#title)

did anyone say the the 40mm weren't effective against planes??
no their not effective against ground targets, the 20mm can destroy a AA gun with 2-5 bullets yet a 40mm needs 6-10 bullets to destroy the same target, i dont know about you, but that isnt right

Evidently you can not read, you have to actually hit the gun.
40 mm do not explode, 20 mm do so you just have to be close.
Get it yet.
If you actually hit the gun with 40mm , 1 round will kill it.

LOL my bad reading again ;)
Thought you meant Air to Air by AA, not Anti Aircraft :)

German 20mm drop is 2feet after leaving the barrel and pepper the target with sawdust according to AH . :D
