Are there any current models of USB joysticks that are force feedback? The Amazon, it does nothing.

Logitech has at least one stick with FFB. But I don't know about the quality of those.

Scotty

The problem with FF in flight sims, is that while it seems cool.

What you really need is the ability to do precise controled inputs in a dogfight.
FF actually hurts you in that regard in most cases.

I know there are some dedicated FF flyers out there.

I also know I tried it once & hated it. Totally messed up any "feel" I had for what the plane is actually doing.

The new stall buffet on the other hand is ideal. Gives you consistant, repeatable input on where the "edge" is and when your getting too far over it. (I did pull sound down to 60% though)

I've been using FF since AW... I like it. The buffet effect with FF is pretty intense, as well is the jerks you get on the stick when you get pinged or lose a piece of your plane.  You don't know what you're missing!!  It really adds to the 'sim' factor, getting pinged with FF is a real shock sometimes. Especially if you're as oblivious as I am (I suffer from tunnel vision when chasing a bgy)

Ive been using the "Rumble Force" from Saitek, reconditioned for $19.00 (from $49 new). Its the only Saitek ill use, I also have a regular Evo that is total crap.

I just bought an extra rumble foce, $19 is a geart deal for a back up.

The only issue I have is the plastic base dries out and causes it to stick, a small drop of extra virgin olive oil every 8 or so weeks fixes it.
