It was obvious to me he wasnt as much stoned as he was drunk.

I think if we had the full story there we would have found his blood alcohol level to be just a bit above the legal limit.

But hey, At least he was honest. He did say he might have some pot LOL

My point was that even though he wasn't stoned, it seemed clear that his mind is not particularly sharp.  That doobie looked competently rolled so he couldn't have been too drunk when he rolled it, but it seems clear that he's lost so many brain cells from pot and booze that he's a functional idiot.

I knew a few guys in high school that were like that...  Started 7th grade with an IQ in excess of 145 (measured more than once), and graduated completely unable to speak without slurring their words and drooling, even when stone cold sober.  One guy in particular had the smarts and drive to be some hotshot CEO someday, and the last I saw him he was building an exciting career working from his Mom's house, retailing small indoor forced-growth tanks to support his pot habit.

Of the other two guys just like him, one committed suicide and the other became a mid-level drug dealer and spent all his time tweaked out on various stimulants and uppers because people kept trying to kill him and he didn't have a gang to back him up.  He felt he had to stay alert (twitchy, but alert) 24 hrs a day.  Not sure what happened to him, but he had a tough time completing full sentences the last time I talked to him.

All 3 of those guys mostly did pot in high school, and it turned them from really smart and cool dudes into retards.  Totally mellow except for the dealer, but basically mentally deficient.
