Well, choose your profile and klick edit.
In the now open Edit Window, klick on Tab Hotkeys. now klick on "Change" for any of the three functions (Pause, Center, Prezision) and then simply press down your stick button of choice.

Brick, the only shortfall I've found with trackir is I need a fairly upright seat that is completely immovable. I currently use a regular leather office chair which has rocking capability. This means I get a bit of movement with the chair and somewhat inhibits my ability "look around" the headrest. I think a good fix is to buy an automobile bucket seat that allows me to move it in and out of position for getting in and out of the "cockpit" :). When I get a free moment I'm gonna pick up a seat and see what happens.

Where do you have the IR Seaker Head positioned? I too use a movable office type chair, I have no problems with my ability to look around. I use no overhead lighting, just a desk lamp at night and no direct sunlight during the day. I positioned the seaker head on top of my moniter. Works great.

I have it located on top of my monitor also. I have a small desk lamp located behind me which shines (low) on the opposite wall.
I find the chair moving around on me when I attempt to slide my head the inch to the side when looking back around the head rest. It seems my chair movement matches my head movement.
-
That may be the difference. If I understand you correctly you are turing the chair, not turing in the chair. I had a similar problem at the start, but after some pratice I got used to just moving my head and not by a lot. But I use the delivered profiles the defaults that were delivered with the tracker, I didn't change any settings. Not that you said you did, but I know that when engaged in combat, I move my body , body english, and have to stay somewhere near centered in the chair, but you get used to it. It doesn't take much of a head movement to look behind me, and yes I must move my body a little to one side or the other to check out my six.
-
I wouldn't say I'm turning the chair so much as not being able use enough "body english" when to comes to shifting my head to the right or left to look around the headrest.
Another thing I found and have learned to live with it comfortably is I "seem" to really move my head more degrees than the device can really handle. I might only be moving it a litle but it feels like alot! It gives me that same feeling of view as I saw in the real thing. Very cool!
I DO center alot which come naturely after the short time of using it.
The only thing it lacks is the periphrial vision that you normally get when you are say, "looking back and up behind you" as you pull to the target. In the real plane you can easily see nose position in relation to the target. Don't get me wrong.....its pretty good!!! :)
Actually, I only see one thing wrong with it.....and it has to do with products coming out at the wrong times.
A number of years ago Sony came out with 3D glasses. They were not the look thru type but had two lil screens. They didnt have the greatest resolution and subsequently stopped making them. After that had happened TrackIR came into being.
If you could marry the two you'd sit in your cockpit and move your head yet always have a perfect view of where ever your were looking dead center on your vision. Think about it. Now that would be cool!!!!
Decent 3D goggles are pretty steep in price but we can dream, can't we? :D

guys, idont know how you feel about yer profiles, but i urge you to check out speed 55's.it has made a tremendous difference for me . i have also mapped the center and pause hotkey to my joystick.in the last couple of days i have seen great improvement.only problem has been dive-bombing...i had to delete two buttons that made this operation easier in order to map the trackir keys. ren,i hope yer situation is fixed.i need help with scissors..dedalos has had me kissing terra firma like a teenage hottie in the back seat of a 1971 4-door chevy impala. lol.

I have a question re: views for all you TrackIR experts:
Before i got TrackIR, I had my rear view set to look over and to the side of the armorplate/headrest in the P-51D (for example).
Now, with TIR, when I look to the rear, it's like my face is right up against the headrest and I can't see around it. If I do a few contortions, wiggle to the side a little, etc., I can eventually get to where I can see around it, but it takes a long time.
Is there some type of setting I need to change to be able to seee easily to the rear?
Also, I notice my forward views keep switching between where I had them set, and what I assume are the default views. FOr example, I usually have my gunsight view set so the pipper is just below the top of the glass, but the TIR keeps switching between that view, and the one where the gunsite is centered in the glass.
I really like it - no problems with nausea like others have mentioned, but I'd like to get the view problem straightened out. And yes, I am using the Speed55's profile.
Thanks for any help in advance!

SK John,
What you do is when you first get into the plane, lean forward and down and then recenter IR . Then sit back up normally. Now on each plane you will find a different "point" where this works best, but it works in all.
Basically what you have done is put your self in the highest seat position and near the "back" of the cockpit when sitting normally. So now when you look back behind the seat you can look above and around it because your essentially where your saved views were looking from.
You may need to make the "back" axis more aggressive so you can quickly slap you virtual head to the far back position.
Then when your ready to shoot, you simply lean down and forward to gain the site picture.
Hope that helps.

Mine is going back tomorrow , I got the RMA # and all setup .
I just coundn't get used to it , always turned it off when I got into combat . I guess I just got to set in my ways using my hat views .
Also to any that have bi-focal glasses , this is not the best setup you . I had a problem with tipping my head up to see better and having my "view" look up when I didn't want it to .
That said I had a friend try this first weekend I got it , he has never learned to use the hat views correctly and he really liked Track IR alot .

Balsy,
I tried what you suggested, but it diddn't work right for me. I'll have to experiment with the placement more...
THanks for the suggestion!
