Title: Gameport To USB Converter(For Joystick)
Post by: SirLoin on April 14, 2006, 08:07:35 AM
My MS FFB2 has finally given up..I have a perfectly good MS FFB1 sitting on the shelf all wrapped up in plastic.

Is there any way to hook this up to a gameportless PC?

Radio shack has the adapter.  I am now using one for my old ch pro peds.
You probably wont be able to use sidewinder programming but AH stick mapping might work.

The Radio Shack one will work ok for the rudder pedals, but for a stick forget it.  Very limited profiles and almost impossible to calibrate properly.  Maybe I just had a bad one I dont know.  I couldnt get the thing to work right though.

My solution is just to use a soundcard with the gameport.

Ya..It'll never be detected by Windows as Sidewinder Stick. The converter may work with joypads or generic sticks, tho.
