Is there widescreen resolution support in AH? I can only see 4:3 mode resolutions on setup...

Edit the "video8.cfg" file with Notepad or Wordpad (default location C:\Program Files\HTC\Aces High II\settings\video8.cfg) and change it to support the resolution you want.

Be sure your video card and monitor supports the resolution.

You will notice that in widescreen view, you don't get a wider angle view to the left are right. Instead, you get the same angle view, but LESS of a viewable angle up and down. Since view up and down is critical in dogfighting, widescreen view is a handicap compared to standard 4x3. I have a 1920 x 1200 res monitor but I run it in 1600 x 1200 res to remain competitive in the game. I hope one day that HITECH changes his philosophy and gives the widescreen guys the same view up and down as the standard aspect monitor pilots. Until then, I fly with 2" of black on each side of my visual image.
