Greasy breakfast involving eggs.
More booze.

Hangovers are good. Ive sworn off booze during more than one rough morning.
I went on vacation after the hollidays, an all inclusive vacation. Was wasted everynight for pretty well the whole week and wasnt hungover once, in fact i woke up everymorning feeling great. Kind of scared me really, I havent touched a drink since (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
Burnt toast btw, works wonders, no kidding.

Funked's recipe is pretty dang good, especially if you can remember it the night of. (of course the problem being when you're drunk enough to need it it's pretty hard to remember)

This weekend was the hangover from hell weekend. Decided Saturday to go back to the bar again, because friday was fun as hell. Didn't learn a lesson, drank myself into submission, then noticed when I woke up sunday morning I left a present on my floor. 5 glasses of water, 6-8 Advil, 2-4 eggs with cheese, onions/tomatoes/green peppers added as well. Doesn't fix it but it sure does help.

Just before bed, down 4 advil and a tall glass of water. Jack Daniels will give me some fearsome heartburn when consumed in mass quantities, so I usually down a Zantac 75 with that as well.

Hehe rosco, "The Vacation Effect". Spooky, huh? It seems that, as far as alcohol is concerned, stress is a force multiplier.

Go to the grocery store and buy a bottle of bitters, you can find it in the spice isle. Then get some club soda, mix 3 teaspoons of bitters with a large glass of club soda, drink it down with a couple IB's. I had a customer tip me $100 for this cure when I was a bartender (Damn fishermen from Alaska, never know how to budget)

Just prior to nodding off/passing out etc. I do the following: rapidly down 3 Irish Carbombs, gulp down 3 motrins, and chase it all with a Newcastle. Get up about 4 - 5 hours later and shamble into a Denny's for some machaca, after that all is well.

Method 3.
Since almost everyone who has ever had a hangover will refuse to comply with methods #1 or #2, then this is the next best preventive measure. It has been suggested that consuming a couple of asprin, acetominophone or ibuprofen and drinking a couple of glasses of water will help to reduce the negative effects of drinking. However, this course of action could be
hazardous to your long-term health.
"Acetominophen, Aspirin, and Ibuprofen should never be taken with alcohol (unless directed by a physician). Alcholics even should avoid them when not drinking. Tylenol is metobolized by the liver and if the liver has upregulated p450 enzyme system it releases a toxic metabolite. Alcohol plus acetominophen has led to numerous liver transplants and is very dangerous. Recently, Tylenol has been forced to put labels on their bottles with alcohol warnings. Ibuprofen is also metabolized by the liver and little may be known. However, alcohol is a stomach irritant and NSAIDs like aspirin and ibuprofen plus alcohol is also a bad idea.

Grab a RedBull or any one of those energy drinks. It takes about 30 mins to fully recover but it's a more complete recovery.
Failing that, drink some Gatorade with B12 vitamins.
The important thing is to re-hydrate your body as quickly as possible. Energy drinks are more readily absorbed than water (I think).
Anyway, that always works for me.

PS Always get up and move around. Being inactive, i.e. watching TV or reading, slows down the recovery process.

H2O, before, during, and after.
a hang over is your body asking for water. if your well hydrated before you start drinking, its unlikly that you'll even get a hangover. if you do, drink more water next time. once you get a hang over, its just a matter of time. not much helps, drink water, take pain killers. but dont take em right after you drink, it will cause liver damage. take em the next morning.

My hangovers usually consist of an extreme case of thirst right after I wake up, including the most god awful taste in my mouth. Easily cured with a sprite.
If I drank too much (I'm talking about lots of 151 mixed with beer and who knows what else) then I may feel really sick in the stomach. If its too much, I'll just induce vomiting and then drink some Pepto Bismol. Then I take some aspirin.
You are ready to start drinking again that same night.

here, prevention is by far the best medicine.
try drinking a glass of water between every third beer or so. More water if you are doing something silly like shooting 151 (animal.)
i never taken aspirin or IB or whatever for hangovers. i find that it makes me dizzy and the whole situation worse.
if you forget (or are too drunk) to drink water periodically and do end up with a nasty hangover. Eat and drink as much as your stomach can handle. The key is to re-hydrate yourself and move the rest of the toxins through your body as quickly as possible (to put it politely.)
ps. try a few table spoons of hydrogen peroxide...any remaining alcohol or hot wings will be violently propelled from your body.. leaving a clean slate for recovery.
pps i have never tried the above mentioned cure...i know people who have and they are still alive, but it may not work for you.

Assuming I am on a bender, I usually try to drink a glass of water for every 2 mixed drinks I consume. I find that that helps with the overall muscle ache thing that you receive the next day.

BIG HELP! I think this is one reason that hangovers are non-exsistent on Vacations, ie--your on the move---things to do---etc.
I personally have been so hungover that sitting upright was a chore. I quess im getting old.

Take ecstasy or smoke weed when your drinking to cure hangovers... cuz you stop drinking right then and there.... Well it doesn't stop me, but it stops most...

That night:
Put a beer on the radiator(or somewhere warm) and leave it open. Put some screen or something over the top to prevent toejam from falling in it.
Next day:
Walk to your nearest MickeyDs after taking 2 excedrin* and order a breakfast combo there. Eat there, walk home. Drink water. Head ache will be gone. Drink that warm beer.
A hangover is NOT your body being dehydrated, it is your body withdrawing from you putting alchohol in your body and it wants more. This will seriously fix you right up.

This is straight from my research lab:
You need liquid (pref water, since alcohol drains your body's waterlevel - a few Coke, Pepsi and other caffeinestuffed softdrinks are great, but supplement with water), you need caffeine (keeps bloodpressure constant in your brain, and also has a slight painreleaving effect) and you need vitamin B12, which repairs all those neurons in your brain that has "lost connection" - this is best taken injected intramusculary (in the buttcheek) - time to call that vet friend of yours.
Alcohol doesn't kill (many) braincells, but it reduces the number of connections - drink long enough, and you might be heavily impaired - the process is reversible, thank God...
Caffeine and water has an immediate effect - just don't overdo the coffee thing - stop when u get the shakes (if they wheren't already present). Pain releavers should be saved for that steak-knife between the ribs...
And then there is greasy food and humpin' your girlfriend - it doesn't help, but it will motivate u to drink again. If you are smart (unlike me) you'll wait 2-4 days (dep. on weight) until your body has finished processing all those left-over chemicals your liver just made (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
A few more things: Drinking water before bedtime (and between drinks) is an all time winner - it's so bleedin' obvious i forgot to mention it!
Moving around is ok IF it doesn't cause u pain (pain tells u that u shouldn't be moving around). Watch some golf on the TV instead (or other boring sporting events - fishing contests would be great but is seldom aired) That will calm your nerves.
Coffee is very good for muscle pain too,
and finally the sad news: With age the blood/brain barrier will be slowly broken down - eg. hangovers get worse the older u get because more (and different, harmful) chemicals get into your sponge. Drink Vodka - it has the lowest chemical crap/alcohol ratio.
