Ugh. As if Collateral wasn't enough of a nightmare.

Personally, I have a theory that he and Charlie Sheen have a secret $1 million dollar bet over which one of them will win the coveted "World's Flakiest Actor from the 80s" crown from Judd Nelson.

The smart money is on him.

Judd Nelson robbed it then. Corey Feldman deserved that award. :)

This:
"Cruise vows to eat placenta after birth"

I wonder if he ever saw one.....

Anyway, either he's sick sick & sick, or just joking.

Or, he's a dog, for they'll chew'em up wherever they're to be found.

(seen hundreds of placentas, you see)

Ok, you had to ask

http://www.twilightheadquarters.com/placenta.html

Placenta Cocktail:
1/4 cup raw placenta
8oz V-8 juice
2 ice cubes
1/2 cup carrot.
Blend at high speed for 10 seconds

Placenta Lasagne:
Use your favorite Lasagne recipe and substitute this mixture for one layer of cheese. In 2 tbl. olive oil, quickly saute meat of 3/4 placenta, ground or minced; plus 2 sliced cloves of garlic, 1/2 tsp. oregano, 1/2 diced onion & 2 tbl. tomato paste, or 1 whole tomato.

Cows sometimes eat their own, and so do many ruminants in wild nature. One theory is that it's because of the nutrition, another theory is that it's because of the "give-away" to predators/scavengers. It rots extremely fast you see.
Anyway, I think it's sick eating it, and I am a guy who eats Haggis with sheep-balls!

I view actors as 2nd class citizens..as they had always been thought of until motion pictures came out...not a reputable or respectable job....on top of that they have the nerve to use their celebrity to try and poison the minds of impressionable people with their political idea..an area that most of em don't have enough intelligence to be commenting on.

But really...not a job worth the money they get paid.

Moms has been a hollywood agent for 30 years, unfortunately I have been exposed to lots of these folks... it takes a lot of dedication and 'hard work' to a degree.

I challenge any man here to keep up with Milla Jovovich' (training) schedule then come tell us all how its not hard work to pretend to be in rock hard shape while performing martial arts moves that all had to be learned. These are not things she does in her spare time, its an every day routine on top of other responsibilities (photo shoots, interviews, voice over)

Hard work is relative, most folks have 9 to 5s at the same place, regular days off... actors often leave home for months to "where ever" and film "when ever", sometimes 12 to 18 hour days, others waiting hours to film a 5 minute scene after spending endless boring hours in the trailers. Is leaving home, friends, family "hard work"?, is keeping track of all your responsibilities, as in where to be and when, hard?.. showing up at the same time / place 8 hours a day seems pretty easy to me.

How about dodging the media and loons? is it hard work trying to keep prying eyes & ears from violating your privacy 24/7? is it hard work reading total BS thats been written about you?

I certainly don't think the level of hard work is worth millions per film though, but hey... that's the market.

BS - pure BS - Try 20 years in the military, pick the branch doesnt matter, what 9-5, try 5 - 7 or 5am to 5am.  Waiting hours and hours on a hot flightline (or freezing wet cold) waiting to board a C-141 to go thousands of miles from home for a month or more.  Try keeping track of your responsibilites while living in a tent surrounded with dust in the air, flies in your mouth, and bugs crawling in your ears.   Tell your kids no movie this weekend like you promised because the ORI is coming up and the squadron commander wants to have another exercise.
I'm proud of my 20 years I gave willingly and I'm proud of all the hard work I had to do, but dont sit there and tell me some overpaid, pompous actor is hard working, its pure BS.  Some of those people wouldn't know hard work if it bit'em in the ass

 How bout dodging bullets?

I was in a movie, as a soldier, and it was cold and long hours.
Mostly waiting in the cold, untill our commander (from USMC) yelled either "practice" or "action".

I think the main actors had a much easier time than the extras though, - and better food ;)

All you whiners, you can choose to try acting too!

Itīs only matter of choosing your own profession. Some jobs are paid better than others and if you donīt like yours just try new one. Some stupid crying that someone makes easy money is just worthless whining into my ears.

And I am not an actor, but my work is pretty well paid by Finnish standards and I have heard some comments about my job being overrated and  overpaid too... What stops you trying to do the same! (I am Air Traffic Controller..)

If jealousy could be harnessed producing electricity we would not need any other powerplants..

PS. I would also like to have a P-51...

Debonair, there is a Thomas Cruise  listed on the FAA website.  I know of one or two Tom Cruises out there but it could easily be him.

As for acting being hard work. I know from experience that apart from my time soldiering, working on movies and TV sets were the coldest, most tiring and longest days ever and I'm not even an actor! It is hard work even if the big stars are overpaid for it. Remember too, the only the top end guys get the big money. Most actors work the long hours too but survive on lousy money.

There is one difference, working on movies is fun and satisfying. Something which could hardly be said for my current job.

As for Cruise, his antics lately are a bit mad. Someone in a newpaper article half jokingly suggested he was actually trying to discredit Scientology. That in actual fact he was a spy for the Catholic church.  :rofl

Cruse is a Kook, thats for sure, and I will admit I am jealus a bit that he makes enough to own a P-51.

If any one of you got rich and bought one though a percentage here would hate you for it. Thats just life.

I don't hate the guy, I just wish he would stop acting like a nut so I dont have to hear him qouted anymore.

I hope he does not kill himslef in his flying history machine though.

Hi Nilsen,

As AHBB keeper of odd religious knowledge it is my duty to tell you that Tom Cruise is a Scientologist. A Science Fiction Mystery Cult invented in 1952 by Science Fiction Author L. Ron Hubbard based on his book Dianetics. (please note I am not making the following up) Scientologists believe that their quest is to remove the harmful engrams that have been encoded in past lives in order to become a "clear" or "operating Thetan" who is no longer the slave of his reactive mind. Our engram problem is largely the result of Incident 2 which occurred 75 million years ago when the Emperor of the Galactic Federation, Xenu, transported his surplus population to the earth in spacecraft that looked exactly like the DC-8 and placed them in Volcanoes which he then blew up with Atomic bombs. Having created millions of disembodied spirits (Thetans) he captured them with an electronic device and enslaved them with harmful engrams. These engrams manifest themselves in harmful behaviors and conditions like drug-addiction or asthma. Only the church of Scientology using e-meters and hidden wisdom can free us from bondage to these engrams. All it will take is lots and lots of lovely money which men like John Travolta and Tom Cruise appear to have in abundance.

Madonna on the other hand, is into Kabbalism, or actually a variety of Kabbalism taught at the Los Angeles Kabbalah Center by Philip Berg. Kabbalah was a mystical offshoot of Judaism with origins in Medieval Spain, it  wed numerology to a gnostic method of reading the Torah which assumed that the actual meaning of the text was locked or encoded within it, and that numerology provided the key to finding God's real message. As one grew more proficient in this decoding, one grew in power, enlightenment and wisdom. In the 19th century many European "new age" (this is the age of Aquarius) magical societies such as the Golden Dawn began incorporating elements of Kabbalah into their own practices. Berg's center incorporates many new age practices into Kabbalism, and in fact his Kabbalism is less Jewish than simply new age gnosticism. Once again, you need the help of the center to reach true enlightenment, and the key to getting that help is once again, lovely, lovely money and for some reason we keep giving money to Madonna.

Money apparently can't buy you love, but it can buy you "englightenment" and P-51s.

Hope this helps.

I met met tom cruise about 5-6 years ago when i was a doorman in manhattan. He was visiting speilburg, i guess to discuss a movie. He was a very friendly, ordinary guy, didn't have any ego, and seemed like the type of person you could have a beer and shoot the watermelon with.
Him and bruce willis, and woody harrilson were the coolest stars i met.
