Title: Need photos of starboard side of "Rabbit"

I'm working on a P47D-25 skin of 527th FS 86th FG, named "Rabbit". The thing is it has something on the other side of the nose, and I can't tell what. Does anybody have any images of this aircraft? I have a good idea of what the rabbit looks like, but no idea about the opposite side.

I found a REALLY blurry image of it off a decal sheet, from an Academy scale model kit. I've attached it to this post. It seems to be a cross-hair type of gunsight, with a bird (?) with a spyglass looking up and forward.

The same decal applied to a kit.

I just can't see it clearly enough to re-create it.

I'm not too confident in my BMF skills, but I'm still working on it. I've got the stripes laid out properly for the tail and some of the nose markings. The nose art will help bring it to life, I think. That, and national markings! :D

Some. No nose art. Still working on the metal coloring. Panel lines are off because I used an inaccurate skin as a template (nobody to blame but myself on that one)

theres any number of bare metal techniques all work pretty well for a nonreflective bitmap simulation of reflective metal.

my current basic Bare metal technique...

top of fuselage darker blueish

sides highlighted pretty light blueish white.

belly desaturated blue or grey or green or brown

wings...

inner wings make them similar to highlight on fuselage... further out on wings make them darker blue like top of fuselage..  ta da fuselage reflection on wing.

undersurface wings same as underside fuselage its a low wing airplane no fuselage reflection on underside wings.

panel lines would look better antialiased I think.
