Title: 2 skins -- would either be allowed?

Mexican air force P47:

Was this post war, or was it used during the war?

Yellow checkered P38J:

Is this historic? The website I saw it on had a mix of historic and non-historic skins. It's a screenshot of a CFS skin or some such.

I'm thinking the Mexican Jug is postwar.  There was a Mexican unit operating P47D-28s with the 5th AF out of Clark Field in the summer of 45 but the markings were US with the black wing and fuselage ID bands.

I've seen the 38 somewhere and it's MTO based I think.  The skin posted is way off though as the checks would cover only the forward part of the nose ahead of the gun bay doors.  THinking the props would have been the red MTO standard too.

Gonna have to do some digging on that one to make sure I'm not remembering another 38.

Thanks for the info

The jug was colorful, which is what interested me. The P38 had the full nose painted, rather than just the tip, which I thought was nice. However, if that's non-historical, oh well :)

I ont know the squadron, or even if its historically accurate coloring, but the scheme looks like an 82nd FG bird.

I was thinking 82nd or 14th FGs out the MTO.  I have the 82nd FG history and nothing in there to support it.  They had the red spinners and often a solid red nose but no checks.

Might be 14th but I can't find it.

I'm guessing, then, that it is non-historical. It seems like it would be memorable enough that somebody ought to recognize it instantly (I would think).

I was looking at that solid tail with the tilted stripe on the booms, looks like the ones I've seen of the 82nd birds, but I don't recall ever seeing one in yellow. Ive onle seen red, blue and black.
