Title: A Question...
Post by: Pooface on April 22, 2006, 11:24:53 AM
hey, this is really for stream or anyone that knows how to use divX/Xvid codecs

i was just wondering how i would go about rendering a film as an avi instead of .wmv

should i render the film as an avi from vegas, and then encode it (not sure how to encode, that's one of my main questions), or should i do it as a wmv and then encode it to an xvid avi??

basically, i would love to know the processes to go through to get a nice quality, but small avi file out of vegas instead of a rather large wmv :)

ty for the help all:aok

vegas give you a choice to pick up codec

when you use "render as" use  button custom, there you have options how to decode video and sound
On the bottom of next window 3 options "project" "video" "audio"
pick video and look for "video format", there you pick your codecs, also quality settings

if you like to use it fo r streaming on webpage mov (quicktime) or rm(real player)  have special functions for streaming
