HT this is a follow up post for ENY Restrictions dated 4/18 my me. can you explain how the Bish/Rooks can out number the knights by 20, 30, 50, 70 or more and only have an ENY restriction of less than 3 if there is one at all yet tonight when the Knights had 166, Rooks 157 and Bish 98, our ENY restriction was 12.9 and the Rooks 8.4? It seems a little unbalanced to me.

I'm sure you have to look at it as a percentage... A hard number of 70 doesn't mean much if the total arena has 650 people in it... But hard number of 166 vs 98 is a 62% difference in numbers... And thus deserving of a harsh penalty...

meddog, HT is not sitting in front of the server, deciding on the ENY value.
Its a simple formula containing total number, percentages and country numbers... all computing automatically into the ENY limit. So no matter which country, the eny limits are always the same for a specific numerical situation. In some old thread about it, HT even posted the formula he coaded.
