I've seen that bird before. Beautiful shot, thanks for posting it!
We really need someone to do that skin. :)
This is the one I'm using for my desktop right now.

If you don't mind me asking Star, why are the Corsairs all firing their guns in formation?
-
I highly doubt starofafrica painted that.;)

VF-17 made several airfield attacks where they would come screaming across the airfield at treetop level, line abreast with guns ablazin', and then streak back out again.
You see, back then aircraft would sit on the field whether they had a pilot in them or not... :D

The print I use as a desktop was done by Jim Laurier. I have a copy of it hanging on my wall. You can see more of his stuff on the website I pulled the image off of here:

Lots of good ones.

Great Shot!
Im' looking for a Jug picture that resolution for a screen saver and backgroud .
Anyone know where I might find one? I checked the link and found no Jug prints.

Basically just start a search for warbird prints and you should come up with several thousand hits. Then its up to you to look at as many links as you can.

There's this one .............

Not the prettiest P-47, but the image is almost desktop size and you can stretch it without noticeable problems at 1024x768 resolution.

Try this link for some good shots of a P-47.
