Not to sure if this has already been thought of and posted but here goes anyway.
Currently you are able to 're-arm' on the hotpads on the end of the runways. but what if you were able to taxi into a designated hanger and repair that missing flap or rudder and then be able to take off again.
Of course you cant repair a hole in the head but a flap would be fun.
I'm not to sure if the hanger should be made 'indestructable' like the convergence hanger or whether it should be able to be destroyed with X amout of ord.
Just an idea.

just grab a new plane unless you want to do it BoB style:D find a piece o metal and there you go you have a new rudder:lol (I know i am exagerating)
-
Yeh but landing and grabbing a new plane doesnt let you stay on the same sortie and doesnt let keep current kills.
-
Thats right it doesn't, nor is it supposed to.
You have a choice, rearm (but not repair) and keep your kills.
Or, get a new plane, and start over.

i think a refuelling station option would be good, but only an amount of fuel that could realistically be added quickly, cos if u land to refuel its not like u have been damaged and need a fix. if u can land u shud be allowed to refuel without starting over

you do know there are re-arm pads at every field right?

If we did have this hanger it should go down the fighter hangers and one person at a time. A refueling pad also.
I'm sure this has been asked but wat about a portable rearm pad. It could be take by a gv to and flat area large enough for fighter to land and it could be destoyed.I the person who set it up would have to stay there or the pad is gone. The person who set it up coul get like a .20 perk for every plane rearmed.( Othrewise I doubt many ppl would do it).

I think the repair pad, as nice as it would be to have, would be a little too unrealistic. I could imagine that even the smallest amount of damage took at least an hour to repair back in WWII. I say we pass on the repair pad.

actually the 109 was designed so an engine could be replaces in 15 minutes. bolt off - bolt on.
but yes the repair pad has be discussed at major length for many years here. it is a no go, will never happen.

Got a pilot wound? No problem, stick this handy dandy cork in your head and you will be as good as new! :rofl
-
I'm not going to lie, its more trouble to re-arm now, and sometimes if you're unlucky, you'll get stuck or rip off a wing trying to get out.
Any chance we can make the re-arm pad bigger or maybe in a hangar? The pad is small!
-
I will agree if your not carefull the current pad location bites.
We recently lost 3 of 5 spit 16's in a rearm just from landing/pad problems.
Same night at least 3 guys lost parts manuvering around the rearm pad building.
I'd rather see something that looks like a revetment. Taxi in one side, stop in the middle, and taxi out the other.

Repair pad is a bad idea. I mean, then you have to split hairs over what's a minor and major repair. Radiator leaks versus oil leaks, fuel leaks, missing ailerons, missing wingtips, pilot wounds....bleah....
