Your best bet is probably Soda's Aircraft Page (http://members.shaw.ca/soda_p/models.htm). An amazing compilation of info on almost all planes in the set.
This (http://www.hitechcreations.com/ahhelp/models/index.html) is from HTC Help Section, since the recently added a "chart info" for the HANGAR (ingame) im pretty sure they updated the plane infos/data on the homepage as well.
Not sure where you can get exact fuel consumption data for the planes. Youll probably just have to test your mission planes beforehand. Keep in mind that the fuel burn rate in the Main arena is set to 2.0.
Hope that helps you a bit....

Geeb,
As far as weapons go, you probably want to use fighter guns at D400 or less -- and I wouldnt go that far out until you have a very good sense of gunnery. Most kill shots are going to be up close.
As far as aircraft ranges go, well, best is to just get a feel. Simplest is to load 100% fuel offline, get to the runway, push the throttle forward, and click on the ESB. (esc to bring up map, the click on the bottom right menu item.) 20 minutes is pretty short, and the rest go from there.
The La's and spits and typhoon are relatively short ranged, the P-51 has very long legs. Bombers can go just about anywhere on the map, and I cant recall upping with more than 50% fuel in a buff.
As to missions being poorly planned, well, you have a point. Theres a step beyond "lets really get those guys!" before attacks make sense. If you have a knack for tactics, plan a mission and post it! Nothing breeds popularity like success....

when testing fuel endurance for planes
don't forget to set your fuel burn rate to what ever the arena you are playing in is set to.......
MA Fuelburn = 2.0
AvsA = 1.5 <---- ?
Offline = 1.0 <----?
this was a quick going from memory, could not be correc t......
also, regular Arena play fuelburn is most times increased verses per say an Aces High Scenario which would be set to the actual 1.0 FUELBURN......
whoops.....didn't see where Schatzi had mentioned the 2.0 in the MA, my bad... but still make sure if testing offline to set your FUELBURN the same......

For both Fuel Endurance and Weapons Performance got to www.netaces.org (http://www.netaces.org)
Scroll down to Airplane Information and click on Fuel Endurance and Aircraft Weapons Performance. The Fuel Endurance I copied and pasted in Word and was able to print off a nice fact sheet I keep by my computer.
There's a ton of other good info there, including my AH2 map set under Arena Maps.

Hehe TC, now you made me log on and check :).
MA: 2.0 (didnt check that, im fairly sure)
TA: 1.0
DA: 1.0
AvA: 1.0 (even though that might change with the Setup)
SEA: usually between 1.0 and 1.5, depending on design
Offline: Default setting is 1.0
E6B (on your clipboard) not only provides you with accurate numerical data on speed, crosswinds (not in Main/TA/DA!) and fuel consumption, it also gives you info on rpm/MP settings for WEP, Military, Normal Power and Cruise settings. Note that different engine settings will change your fuel consumption (and hence the range) dramatically.
Usually its best to climb full military power (might even engage WEP - if youre sure enough the engine will have enough time to cool before the pilot sees combat) and then go to max cruise settings when leveling off, to save fuel.
Some planes can carry external fuel tanks (Drop tanks or slipper) that can be dropped when entering combat, reducing fuel, weight and drag in fight. (of course plane with DT on will be heavier, slower and less maneuverable then one without - advantage is you can get rid of the weight/drag when neccessary)
PS: Interesting side note: The ME 163 is never affected by fuel burn settings. Its always 1.0, thats 5 mins worth of fuel.

Thanx :) I now may look at being a desktopgeneral. I still have to figure mission editor out, multiple start times, etc...

Fuzzy thoughts would be nice:)
