He was replaced here by "opie and anthony", they were infamous for being fired by another station, they aired audio of two people having sex in a church, then pulled an april fool joke by airing that the mayor of Boston was dead.
So I guess Dave wasn't "shock" enough.

The Far Left jump for joy on Rush's arrest is a wasted effort. Nothings going to happen to him. I don't even think it will put a dent in his show. He'll go on driving the lefties nuts leaving them wishing they had an equal adversary to counter him. Too bad Air America's New York affiliate broomed them this past week, Boo Hoo Hoo. Looks like Soros money couldn't keep that station afloat. :cry

I'd like to hear him respond bout drug use now. As I recall, he had a cut to the quick opinion on the illegl use of drugs. A No-tollerance stand, and that all illegal drug users were criminals that should be punished to the fullest extent of the law.
Now that the shoe is on the other foot, I bet it will walk a lil different.
I hope they punish him to the fullest extent, though I doubt very much they will

Oh wait, they suspect doctor shopping...after...they illegally seized his medical records, hoping they'd find something in there.
He owned up to his problem, took action and is still getting treatment.
What should be of interest is how the police decided to go after him. When the ACLU stands side by side with Rush on how his medical records were treated, you know something is terribly wrong

he was getting drugs (legal) from more than one doctor, it's called (doctor shopping) that way you have more than one perscription at a time so you can take more than you are suposed to.

Its illegal use of a VERY powerful presription drug. Therfore "illegal drug use" IMO anyway.

Lots of people get addicted to their perscription drugs, its not his fault, and then after a while he realised he had a problem and got help. I respect him more because he was able to admit it and got help.
And didn't all this happen over a year ago? Why did they go after him now.

This is a case from 3 years ago. He admitted he had become addicted to Oxycontin back then, and as far as anyone knows, that was the end of it.
No big deal, imo.
Just imagine if your average, famous rock star or actor had gone through the same thing. You think it would have been blown into such a big deal?

That DA in Palm Beach county has been after all this time, mentioning it in campaign speeches to raise money-- thus far, Rush is the ONLY person in FLA ever to be charged with 'doctor shopping'

Yup, like Trent Lott in Texas, ya have a DA with an agenda who file charges and hope, somehow, they stick. They hope that by having a police booking photo out there, it will ruin em.
The hearing part is conjecture, I dont recall Rush saying that was the cause of his hearing loss. I've had 2 friends who were went deaf in early child hood and thats to those implants, regained their hearing. And no, they werent popping opiates
