Title: 38 training
Post by: Soulyss on April 30, 2006, 12:22:28 PM
Thought I'd post here and see if I could scare up some assistance...
Basically what I'm looking for is intermediate/advanced tips/training.  I find that while I enjoy a fair amount of success in the MA, I tend to do rather poorly in 1v1's against what I'd consider above average pilots.  Also I'd like some tips on manuvering the 38J/L against some of the more common MA opponents, spits, ki84's, etc.

Anyone willing to give it a shot feel free to PM me here... I'm free most week nights and weekends, I'm a west coaster so figure in pacific time zone etc.

Thanks in advance.

Widewing would also be a good choice IMO.

Not to take anything away from the rest of the bunch.

Considering the quantitative amount of my sucking... I'm by no means limiting this to a one time thing. :)

Iv'e got a lot to learn in this area as well. Though the amount of my suckage is both qualitative and quantitative. My biggest problem and largest amount of deaths occur in the ma getting shot down by people i don't see. If i can see i'm alright, am i the only one?

Guys, TA weeknights after say 9:30 central time. Be prepared to hang for an hour to see who shows up.

Widewing is in regularly, as is murdr, some nights SODA, or Ren shows up.

And of course I'm ussually around teaching the newbs.

If there is no trainer there you can always fly against each other while you wait.

As Ghosth mentioned, there is pick-up training, and there is training by appointment.  Pick-up is probably easier to come by, but depending on the situation, the trainer may have to split his attention to others also.
