The "nuts" were MINORS.
Students from the El Rancho HIGH School District and the Whittier Union High School District took part in this action.
I'm just shocked, stunned and amazed. Teenagers questioning authority! What has the world come to?
Pfft.

While I agree with you sandy that the flag was just done by teenagers I will say that they are part of a much bigger problem we have in the US.
That's the reconquista (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&safe=off&q=RECONQUISTA%2C+US) movment that is coming out of the shadows and into the for front. They don't simply want the borders open, they want the "stolen land" returned to mexico to form a new home land. They want the reformation of Aztlan (http://latino.sscnet.ucla.edu/research/docs/struggle/aztlan.htm)
In theory they could easily get enough "voters" accross the border to make their plan happen.
Even california democrat lawmakers (http://www.ledger-enquirer.com/mld/ledgerenquirer/news/nation/14445466.htm) plan to support this "walk out" on monday. Here in Texas I got a letter from my daughters school warning of problems that may happen on may 1st and the steps they are taking.
“In the face of the silent reconquista of the United States [emphasis added], we confront a new linguistic phenomenon,” by which that Spanish was conquering English just as it conquered the Aztec language centuries ago.

Wishful thinking at best. The last time a few states decided to leave the Union, it didn't go over so well.

While that is true I could do with out a couple of those states but that is just my opinion. Since we (USA) won the war with Mexico way back in the day we reserve the right to maintain those regions we conquered then and in my book would like to gladly hand over California (and overly inflated land values), Arizona (same as California). The Mexicans then can leave New Mexico, Texas, Nevada, Utah, Coloardo and part of Wyoming and Oklahoma. After that we will erect an anti-personnell mine field and defensive zone between those areas and the newly aquired Mexican territory. Any legal immigrants and natural born United States citizens (not their parents who came across illegally) have 60 days to relocate within the remaining United States territory and the Mexican government must pay reparations to those families who lost relatives in the war with Mexico plus interest and pay 2x the current land value of the homes and land vacated in California and Arizona to those who wish to leave and return to their nation. If those demands are not met within those 60 days the nation of Mexico is subject to military action by the United States of America and we will turn their nation into just another territory that is controlled much like Puerto Rico.

You would gladly hand over California... with the largest GSP of any state in the union.
Okey dokey.
-
Yes, I would. I would not even hesitate. Especially if they would pay me 4 cents.
-
I'm not so sure about ALL of california. That'd make our problems twice as bad as we'd have that much more border to defend. That leaves alot of oregun and the NW undefended against illegal immigration. Those states being liberal enough as it is, they'd probably think it's there civic duty of diversity and cultural understanding to capitulate and hand over their state as well.
-
lol, i would love the opportunity to pwn some calis trying sneak over my border for a decent, lime free beer.
i would pwn them like wack-a-moles right on their freshly lifted califaces. lol.

Plenty of lime free beer here. California is way WAY bigger than you think.
Oh... and California is not L.A.

It's usually a silent majority that get's over run.
