Title: Come and See (Idi i smotri) WW2 War Film

I've just finished watching Come and See (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0091251/) and I have to say it's one of the most powerful and disturbing WW2 films I've ever seen.  

A boy is unwillingly thrust into the atrocities of war in WWII Byelorussia, fighting for a hopelessly unequipped resistance movement against the ruthless German forces. Witnessing scenes of abject terror and accidentally surviving horrifying situations he loses his innocence and then his mind.

It's a 1985 Soviet film but it's just become available on DVD.

Has anyone else seen it?

This flick r00lz!
Almost certainly the best soviet war flim i've seen.
Some good inflight footage of a FW-189 in there, as if it needed a sweetener.

There was one boob, of the girl in the motorbike crash but that's hardly sexy but more revolting. :O

I saw it a long time ago, so forgot about teh b00b
still not sure i remember it, but thats OK, this movie will get a 2nd viewing when it has faded from my memory enough.

Live ammo used. Well ****, no wonder it was good. The threat of being cap'd by a stray is a good motivator for not having performance anxiety.

It's not "Come and See", it's "Go and Watch". I don't know how this Bible quote is spelled in English, and don't have time to check.

Buy yourself a 0.5L bottle of strong alcohol before watching.
