Ok, now i have already confirmed this with a couple others,but....
I hear that you can uplaod or addin skins for use in your map, like say I make a map For my squad to train in, in H2H, and I want to load my squads skins for that map...
SO, the question is....
HOW ON GOD'S GREEN EARTH DO I GO ABOUT DOING THIS?!
any help is appreciated, tx
-
I'd like to know also. That's the one thing I haven't figured out yet.
-
Search this forum for skin and start with artik's thread.
-
I am not looking to have skins allowed for the SEA or CT (wut do CT stand for again?)
I'm looking for how I can add in my own custom skins to be usable in the H2H arenas! using a map I've made/making!
tx anyway though, those threads were interesting.
still need sum help! any info pertaining to HOW I CAN DO THIS, would be nice.

You put your skins in the aheditor/ahiiterr/"your map name folder"/texsrc.
Then build the map.And next time use the search button!

YES! YES! YES! O GOD YES! NOW "YOSHI'S ISLAND" WILL BE COMPLETE! THANKYOU VERY MUCH!

-

I have Adobe Photoshop, the full version. Works fine for me. Just not used to layering.
-
ohhhhhhhhhhhh....ok
-
Would you change the custom skin file name to the default name when putting it in the texsrc file? Example Fw190A8 instead of Fw190A81.
-
No need because when you put the skin file in texsrc it is considered deafult.

^What CroDuh (duh) said^

Hey, I know this sounds silly. I've done this before, but I can't seem to remember if I put the folder of the skin into the texsrc folder or the actual bitmap files...?:lol Anyone have an answer for that?
-
Yes, put it into the texsrc folder with the proper id and number, i.e. b17g1.
-
aaaah... roger. Now I remember!
-
Well, this is weird. I have skins for 95% of the entire plane, bomber, and tank counts. I place their skin's folder in my map's texsrc folder. To test and see if it works, I name some of them by their name as it appears in the "Hangar". Then when I load the map in Offline mode and select the individual planes who's folder are named by their name in the Hangar. Their skin is default and not what I placed in the texsrc folder.
Any suggestions?

Come on guy, all this stuff is on the forum, it's time to learn the search function.
Take all those folders out of texsrc.
Open only one of your skin folders and find the skin for it's exterior.
Name it properly. Might be b17g or b17g0 for instance, can't remember atm.
Put only that renamed file into your texsrc folder and rebuild your terrain. It will replace the default skin when you have the name right.
After you have that working, add another plane one at a time being carefull not to overload your terrains' size.
