Title: My little dancer :)
Post by: Curval on May 02, 2006, 10:37:01 AM
Just a real short video of my little girl doing her "whole body moving" routine on the kitchen counter.

She a little chunky chunkster...but it is all baby-fat, she's only just turned two.

it's wonderful that you want to share the love and joy in your life, but posting pictures of children, (no matter how closely guarded) IS NOT A GOOD THING!

too many sick sh+t's out there just waiting for grampie's to post.  Best off, keeping it family & friends -- where it matters most.

some people need hit over the head with a nailey bat, I swear

It’s a risk, but isn’t everything?   You can send your kid to little league, ballet, Sunday school or allow them to ride their bikes and bad things might happen.  Heck, they could get abducted or hit by a car playing in front of your house.  Even inside our house there must be a few hundred things that could kill or maim them.  Caution and awareness are wise, but life must go on.

I’m the computer teacher and web site administrator for a K-8 Catholic school; a few years ago my students wrote great articles for our website and we published lots of pictures of students doing typical school activities.  It was a great way for parents and distant relatives to keep up on what was happening at our school.  The student made web site was good enough that it actually was a factor in recruiting new students.  Lately paranoia has swept everything Catholic in the US.  Diocese lawyers advise not publishing any pictures or names online.  Never mind the odds; any possible scenario must be eliminated.  One would think that we are a school without students.  If the fire marshal had the same attitude all flammable materials in all buildings would have to be removed…

I appreciate your concern, but I’ve never been one to buy into paranoia.  My phone number and address are even published in the phone book, in spite of what happened to Steve Martin in “The Jerk” (“The new phone books are here!  The new phone books are here!”).
