Post by: Mr Big on May 02, 2006, 09:45:39 PM: I never really know when it's on, but I remember saying awhile ago that the bald guy or the young girl who's mom is a vocal coach would win it.

That bald guy is gonna win. He's the best singer/presense of them all. Even if he doesn't win, he's gonna be a star.

Post by: BTW on May 02, 2006, 10:04:03 PM: I wouldn't buy any one of those peoples records. As is - they are boring and are what "Happy Meals" are to cuisine. For me, the biggest surprise of American Idol was Kelly Clarkson's sudden growth of a spine with her last album ( i guess cd now a days :)) Still she could be a flash in the pan- but there is potential there. The rest of them - well that's just marketing garbage (IMO).

Cowboy Troy and the types like...cant remember their names, the mafia thing, one looks like a greasy hippy sgt peeper wannabe, the other looks like a phsyco-cowboy type who's mother never gave him enough love. Anywho...they are what I hate in country music today. It used to be the twangin...now its the sangin.

BTW Paris will be going home. I thought gray hair did good.

The winner, Chris Young, is about as country as you can get and is definately loaded with talent.

And as far as Idol goes, I think Elliot is gone. Final 2 will be McPhee and Doughtry, with Chris winning it.

Big and Rich. Somebody, somewhere was hitting the crack pipe when they gave them two a contract and I don`t know who signed Cowboy Troy up, but they need some serious counseling. :rofl
Just give me that old time rock and roll with some metal thrown in and a touch of the progressive outlaw and I can make it just fine.

Did you know that they wrote a number one hit for Faith Hill? "Mississippi Girl". Pretty big song that I'd bet made lots of money.

I think they have some talent and I like their vocal harmonies. I like two of the three songs I've heard from them.

I agree with your Cowby Troy though.......just awefull.
